Please see post #1 for complete Balenciaga authentication rules. All requests must be posted in this thread. Authentications are not done via private message or in any other thread.

See the link below for examples of the photos needed and the format they should be in (clear, close up, forward-facing, no angles, right way up, no bends in tags).

A link to the listing in question is required.

It is an authenticator’s right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format. If the listing you are interested in is missing photos it is your responsibility to request them from the seller prior to posting in this thread.

I don’t know if she meant to deceive. The fact that she thought this was an early 2000 bag shows she doesn’t know much about Balenciaga. But it’s not the more collectable bag she thought she had. Adding stock photos is a misleading thing to do.

Thank you to both you and @LostInBal! I had a pending comment in the other thread awaiting mod approval asking your thoughts on authenticity so I appreciate seeing your response here. I'll be sending the bag back today and I appreciate your help so much.

Unrelated but can I ask your opinion on where is best to pay for an authenticity check? I have an LV bag from her I'd like checked out but I see you can only ask for authenticity checks for live listings in the LV forum. Do you have any platform you recommend if I'm allowed to ask that (I hope I'm not breaking any rules - I would PM but I wonder if my account is too new to do so as I don't see an option). It does give piece of mind that at the very least the Town bag was real.. it's in great condition but probably more expensive than it should be. Cheers!

That’s good news, the bag was misrepresented so I can’t imagine you having any problem sending it back.

I’ve never used a paid authentication service, sorry. Anyone else have a recommendation?

Hi, these are currently the only photos I have of the bag, front and back + front and back of the tag. There is no bale since this is the Work bag. What other information do you need?

Hello!!! I know the pics are not that high quality. Will be asking for clearer ones but can you see any red flags? When I googled the serial code (390160), all I could find is it’s for a mini metallic edge so I’m a bit unsure. Would really appreciate your help. Thank you so much! 😻♥️

Sorry, lilapot, the serial number does not compute. Also the font on the serial tag looks off.
