Thanks and be well!

Well I feel like an idiot, I bought this bag from TRR 3 years ago and believed their "authentication" promise. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF IT'S REAL OR NOT? Bc I think it's not lol, but I'm not as knowledgeable as everyone here, thanks in advance!!

Item Name: BALENCIAGA Motocross Classic Velo Bag
Item Number: n/a
Seller ID: TRR
Link: https://www.therealreal.com/product...s/balenciaga-motocross-classic-velo-bag-7kbr3

Pictures look great, but once I got the bag, it started showing this weirdness on the strap, which should have been a huge red flag for me.

I swapped out the strap and carried the bag for 3 years, until the piping wore out and a white plastic tube was seen underneath:

I emailed TRR and they insisted that the bag was authentic, I feel like they're gaslighting me. According to TheLuxuryCloset the strap is supposed to be 1 piece, which the pictures above show that it's obviously not.

This is what TRR said to me:

Then they said that I should've said something sooner -_- I mean... I would/should have, but I was stupid and believed them when they claimed their stuff is real.

Anyway, the strap explanation they gave me make no sense, I replied with this below, and they ignored me.
The bag is authentic.

I agree with @LostInBal that the bag is authentic. And though I'm a frequent critic of TRR here, I also agree with TRR that you can't expect a refund 3 years after purchase of the bag, even if the bag is fake. In fact, even 3 months can be too long if you've put a lot of wear on the bag.

The TLC's claim that the strap is made of one piece relates to the City and First bags and some other bags with shorter straps, but not all bags with the longer strap, like the Velo. The strap on my Velo is made of two pieces stitched together, and it's authentic.

Balenciaga Motorcycle bags were all the rage when I came of age. For me, they are *the* reference when talking about "it bags" or what it means to be cool. Can't get enough of them! Anyhow, only recently did I come into a position to finally fulfill this desire. However, the rise of fakes has become so out of hand that I am not sure anymore of what is real or what is fake. I bought all of mine preloved, so I am entire exposed.

In any case this first one was acquired through Poshmark in 2022. From what I could gather, it is a Flat Clutch Giant 21 Gold Hardware, agneau in black from 2009. Crossing finger that it is actually the case!

Looks authentic in my opinion. For future asks please post photos full-sized and clear, several of these are out of focus. Details must be close up as well.

I'll try to up on the pictures quality, but I am afraid my phone is rather limited in that department.

This next one was acquired from Fashionphile in 2022. It is my pride and glory! I had it professionally re-dyed in black. From the data I gathered, it is a large Pompon, Giant 21 Gold in black, from somewhere between 2007 and 2012.
My bags are for my enjoyment; I have no plan to resale any of them, never have... So I feel comfortable getting them re-dyed and restored...

Authentic IMO.

This next one is an envelope clutch Giant 21 Gold in black, purchased off Ebay, from a lady who claimed it was a chèvre, i.e. goat skin. From the data I was able to gather, I rather think this is lambskin, produced between 2007 and 2012.

This one's not authentic, sorry.
Interesting. I bought it in 2022 from Ebay user "yanza131313".
If it is indeed a fake, it is quite a decent one. I was not around when these were hot so I have no idea of the scale of the fake industry back then... Nor had I seen any these bags in person before, whether real or fake.
However, it is only when I received it that I could research the tags and I could never correlate the numbers with anything. That plus the "chèvre" mention were the two triggers that drove me suspicious. The skin is slightly thin as well, compared to the next one, but I did put it up to variations in hides and sourcing.
Ah well...

It is definitely a fake. For one thing, the style number is for a G21 Part Time.

Last one.
Could not get a good picture of the number so I'll type it here: 282011.1000 - J.538735
As per my research, this is an envelop clutch in Giant 12 Gold in black, from SS 2013. That's also my last Balenciaga. The skin on this one is most substantial that the previous one...
I purchased this from a local consignment store with an online presence.

It looks good but without pics of the tag that's all I can say.
