Authenticate This Balenciaga

What do I need pictures of to authenticate a Balenciaga?

Usually the front and back of the inside tag, a rivet, the bales(if it has them) and a pic of the entire bag Those are usually the best

If I am not mistaken, Purse was only made from 04 so it couldn't be 03 Caramel..
The numbers on the back of the leather tag is good (corresponds to our ref library) however *to my sight*, don't you think the 'Balenciaga_Paris' font somewhat looks a bit off?

I think you're right. It's most likely a 04 Pumpkin Purse with PH.... I was looking at the 03 dark caramel city Ph at ebay so I thought it was the same color So everything checks out, the number on the back tag, the bales, rivet, the lampo zipper,.... except the "BALENCIAGA_PARIS" font?

he said that he has to look to see if his wife kept the season card but it was purchased in Jan of 08 at Saks in NY and it's a 2008 model. Do the early 2008's have the pocket on the back of the mirror?

I am almost certain that the s/s 08's do have the pocket. I believe they dropped it for the f/w 08s. You could do a search here...to be sure.

What I see looks good, but maybe you could ask her to send you a photo of the number stamp? Bonanzle is great, but they make it more complicated to post more than the four front photos.

This one is a wobbler for me. I don't like the "c" on the front of the tag, but it is so minimal...it is hard to be sure. The only thing that will NOT make sense is the color. Unless I'm really losing it, Pumpkin is much lighter and more true orange than this color. The leather doesn't look like 04 leather either. With those rivets, if it isn't 04 it can't be authentic. Sooo...

I don't think there is any cause for concern if it has been re-dyed. As long as you know and you are ok with it. Many Tpfers have re-dyed their bags to restore their beautiful colours!
