It actually looks like an "l". There is no dot on top of the "i", and the "t" doesn't have a line crossing it. In fact the whole word "italy" looks more like "llaly". It is hard to tell looking at it in person.
Here is my SGH Black City tag. I am attching two photos to show how the picture could show them differently. Please note, those two photos are from the same bag. Angle and lighting do make a lot of differences.
However, "Italy" or "italy" on the back does bother me.
