HI ladies... are these auth? I'm a newbie when it comes to Balenciaga bags... however I have checked them out at the local store. Is it just me or do these seem over priced? TIA

1. Looks fine so far, but please get a picture of the tag and bale.
2. These look like stock photos. I'm not sure if they're photos of the actual bag. Bait-and-switch is pretty popular. Please ask the seller for photos of the actual bag. If seller declines, I wouldn't bid. Good luck!

Same listing so I'll respond to both in one post. The pictures are very small. Please ask for larger pictures of the metal tag and bale. The tag is the most important part and most difficult to fake. Good luck!

Looks good to me. The tag picture had too much flash, but the numbers/font all looked fine. I'd ask for a picture of the rivet to be sure. Good luck!

I wrote requesting more photos when the listing first went up, and just got this response a few minutes ago.

"Sorry I've posted as many pictutres as I'm willing to. I assure you the bag is 100% Authentic and leather condition does not vary from one side of the bag to another. As for the silver tag - as the add states there are a few minor dings on the metal."

Actually, this seems to be a stock photo of a City bag, with the long strap detached.

It is impossible to authenticate without some of the elements that are needed. For example, the inside leather tag, front and back, and the bale (hardware at the end of the long strap).

Balenciaga.com uses this single type of photo, because we know they are selling authentic bags. No one else should expect you to buy a bag based on only one stock photo.

As for the shiny leather, Bal leather seems to vary quite a bit, in terms of the finish. Some are certainly as shiny as this one.

I own 06 Greige once and I am positively sure this is not greige color. Since the silver plate shows it is a 2007 S/S bag, I believe this color is Sandstone, and this City is authentic.
