I stand corrected, mine have two lines on the care tab. And nothing in Italian.

I will post pictures when I figure out how.

I've figured out how to attach them...

1) In the first pic is a tag from a scarf I purchased from Zappos. Note how there is a *single stitch* attaching the tag horizontally to the scarf (along the edge)

2) Second Picture: No dashes in the silk seta soie. Also no Italian. Also, only 2 lines of writing. To give benefit of the doubt: I suppose it's possible newer scarves have more writing, or Maybe you get Italian text if you buy from outside the US?

3) & 4) More examples of the single stitch method of attaching the tag.

omg, thank you! i see what you mean now,
i got the scarf from ebay , the seller had alot of different scarfs, not just the skull scarfs, like huge designs, that i felt, oh they cant fake those, can they? so i took a chance, but it did raise a flag that she had so many different ones, they had gorgeous scarfs , i paid around 60 bucks for it, but others went for 100 and more

I've purchased a scarf from this seller that I belive to be real - mostly because (although he guy at the AMQ store wouldn't authenticate it since it wasn't brought there) I was told some of the patterns are really hard to duplicate so it's unikely to be a counterfeit.

HOWEVER, I do think that this seller does either (1) sell counterfeits, or (2) sell stolen goods. The fact that sometimes they have 10+ of some items raised a red flag for me, however because the scarf I purchased from this user I believe to be real - it makes me believe it's possible that they are instead stolen. Or maybe a mix of fakes w/real.

As far as this scarf. I would use caution. Too many of the same scarf. However, not an often duplicated pattern. Sorry can't really give you a straight answer.

Dear ladies,

pls help with this
Title: Alexander Scarf Black with Pink Skulls McQueen ***IRR**
seller: noor2456
Item no: 250871299805
wedpage: http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250871299805&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Thanks!

Skull scarves are the MOST faked and rule of thumb, you get what you pay for. Size is totally incorrect and McQ would never sell seconds/IRR. This is just another way of saying that these are fakes.

When you factor in the number of "wears" that you can get from a classic scarf, really consider buying from a reputable site, like NM, Saks, Nordies and Zappos, as well as the McQ site.

So, the long answer.....FAKE
