This only goes to show that there are only so many things you can do with some leather, HW and lining without duplicating someone else. Unless you get ridiculous which is what some designers have done... making a “Bag” the size of the ace of spades and then having the arrogance to put a huge price on it or making one that would hold a walrus.

I know right? I think it looks borderline good as just a middle piece when the longer strap is worn, but when I saw it held in the hand on their website, I was like ehhhhh.

Pleated buckets... I don’t know that Polene IS trying to be like the Mansur Gavriel with this offering, but they are very similar and I believe the MG came first.

I much prefer the Polene myself and may be going for it sometime soon.

I prefer the Polene bucket bag too, reminds me of an old lampshade at my grandmother's summer house. I think it looks a lot more chic than the one by MG.

I remember seeing on the website a while ago but forgot to add to this thread! I think a lot of Coach products are really similar to LV ones, which is nice if you like some LV designs and want something that's quality but less expensive.

It’s not made anymore but I think the Bally quilted flap bag is actually a better version of the Chanel classic flap. I used to have one and the leather was luscious. Still kicking myself for letting it go. You can find them preloved less than $500.
