Oh, no, don’t worry! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make it sound like it was not okay for you to post it! Just that it’s not proper for Teddy Blake to make something that is so exact a copy. It’s technically not illegal to create a lookalike bag unless they use copyrighted elements like the brand name or logo.
I always thought that besides the logo, there should also be three elements visibly different from the original bag.
Yes, I guess I shouldn’t try to sound so certain...I’m not a copyright lawyer! Certainly I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing anything that didn’t have some changes from the bag “homaging” the other.
Nice. I was thinking someone would hop on this and make an inspired version. I love this BV tote but so far I think they’ve only made them in suede.
Just as you, I don't mind a inspired bag with a less hefty pricetag, but draw the line at 1:1 imitations. The way that high street stores like Zara or H&M are inspired by the catwalk. With one eye closed it looks like a premier brand, with both eyes open there are some subtile differences.
Before I dove into the world of bags I thought long and hard about this. What do I want from a bag. If I love premier but can't afford it, why don't buy a replica? Nobody will know. Then I thought that I would know and that there are enough great brands that make great bags.
Why would I want to pretend with a replica if I can still look put together with another bag? Apart from the whole replica's being connected with crime. To each their own but it's just not my jam.
Although it sometimes is quite hard because the premier bag looks so amazing and the replica is just a fraction of the price. Sometimes even cheaper than other dupe brands. I by no means wanted to offend you in any way, just have an opinion about replica's in general.
