Attention Drawn by Kelly and Birkin

Hello loves,

Among the Kelly and the Birkin when you use them, do you feel one gets more attention than the other? I live in both the US and Asia with many trips to Europe annually. I notice the Birkin gets more attention in the US while the Kelly draws more attention in Asia and Europe. What I mean by attention is strangers looking/admiring/complimenting my bag. Is it just me with this observation or what? Lol would love to hear your thoughts!

Think there will always be "lookers". Here in NYC many bags don't get the glances
that bags would in other parts of the country/world .

Miss living in New York, currently based in LA. Partially lived in UES for 15 years and even there, I noticed birkins get more lookers than Kellys haha

I agree with @Love Of My Life - in New York something has to be extra special to rate that second glance or compliment.

My observation is Birkins draw more stares than Kellys. However, there are times when every third or fourth person strolling along Madison is carrying a Birkin, so one can become numb to a sighting as they become part of the landscape. Personally speaking, I can never not be excited when I see anything H in the wild. I still gawk and if the setting permits, will offer a compliment.

One more observation: Lately it’s been my gold Bolide that has attracted the side glances from passerby.

Interesting topic. I carried my K25 during my recent trip to NYC and received lots of compliment, which is new to me. One lady approached me and gasped, OMG I LOVE your Kelly 25! I hope I get one just like yours sometime soon! Where I live, people would compliment my shoes all the time and everyone seems to be ignoring my bags, or is pretending that they are ignoring

Apart from my friends or SAs no one comments on my bags. Neither Bs nor K. I lived in Austria and Germany. But then again I don't pay much attention to other people('s glances) unless I feel the need to watch out for pickpockets.

I don't think I've ever gotten a single compliment on my Kelly 25. Maybe it's because the color is Etain and it's under the radar.

This is true. I get many more stares on my rouge grenat bag than my neutral ones.

Definitely. It’s also why she tends to prefer her neutrals. She wears what she loves but not to show off to others.

lol I’m sorry my wording was horrible haha I meant between her bleu zellige birkin and anemone Kelly, which do you think gets more lookers/compliments? I totally understand her because I feel that way too, which is why my noir birkin and kelly are my most used ones lol

The anemone because of how vivid it is. Also gets a bunch of comments from H SAs

Not one person in the U.S. besides my mother and a man working in a jewelry store last week has ever commented on my Birkin.
