I like both stones. I'd need to see them on your finger to make a more educated decision. My husband has an asscher pinky ring. It's a square cut emerald so it's more rectangular than square. It's very cool. Maybe that's something you could consider? A more rectangular shaped asscher would marry the two shapes together.

I love both cuts but then, I tend to favor rectangle or square. If you go with the Asscher, try to get the Royal Asscher. You just can't beat it. If you like sparkle & go with the Emerald, I would look at the Chriss cut...more facets. Emeralds tend to show better as large stones. Please post a pick of what you decide.
