TE, I'm relatively new to Tano and have much to learn. I've been searching & googling like crazy, but havent been able to find out much about the leather. Tell me, what's the story on this "crunch" leather"? I'm so impressed! And it seems like it would be so much higher priced than it actually is! Fun colors and affordability too!!! I noticed that my "newtome" older Raspberry/08 bag is made in India. Is this goatskin? Is there any information available on how the leather is prepared?
Thanks so much!

Pretty much all Tano bags are made in India. They made a few styles in China a year or two ago, but not lately.

The crunch leather is now called LUX and is a hand stained, aniliyn dyed calfskin. It gets a cool distressed, vintage-y appearance with use. Its soft and has a slight shine. Its very affordable and takes color beautifully. Welcome to Tano!

If you have a raspberry bag from Fall 08 its made of CRUNCH leather. Congrats on your "new to me" Tano !

hi TE! i've been trying to find a bag in OLIVE to get an idea what Debunking Freud would look like, but i can't seem to find an example. can you describe the color in comparison to other colors? is it like a green-grey perhaps? thanks!

self portrait or favorite spotting?
i have been bought a Tano in an olive color from this little boutique in the Village, NY and I can't tell which one I got. I have not taken pics yet, the camera is not cooperating, so are they any obvious tell-tale signs to tell them apart? one is a plush leather and the other is an enzo. i looked on MHB that is selling both and the leathers look alike to me actually. Mine feels grainy and not very shiny (as compared to a crunch) and a gives off this "raw" or "rugged" feel. the metals use are silver, not gold

TE, when are the color block bags expected to debut?? Will toasted almond, lagoon be available in spring 2 bags??

Colorblock bags are "complete by 4/30".. thats the only info I have.

Both lagoon and toast are in the spring/summer lux palette. Actually its the same palette as pre spring with the addition of emerald green.

Self portrait is made of squishy washed leather and has brass HW. Favorite Spotting is made of more rugged enzo leather and has silver HW.

I've decided my first Tano bag will be a sexbomb (before they're all gone!) but I think I'd like one in the new lux leather. I assume the three colors on preorder at MHB (dove, cherry, marshmallow?) are lux but were there other colors before them in lux?? Thanks so much for the feedback - I appreciate it. I went to Nordies today to look at bags and I've never seen so much cheese and gold hardware in all my life. Ick! Then I headed to Marmi and finally got to fondle some Tanos. There were at least 5 that I would have been happy to own. Great designs, great colors, great leathers. I'm in!
