Voodoo, as far as I know, the double pocket is the new standard.

All plush bags will have brass hardware. Since they are washed post production, with hardware already on the bag, the antiqued brass finish is a necessity. The silver hardware would not respond well to the enzyme washes.

Barneys has been selling Tano bags for several years now.

Tano used to put the "Barneys New York" label inside them. Then the label changed to "Tano for Barneys New York". Now they just say "Tano".

This is the Electroplate bag from Fall 2007. Barney's carried it, and it had their own label in it at that time.

Thank so much. I thought it was a Tano!!! HEY, got a Tano in the house!!!

HELP!!! lol

Im stuck.

I've just fallen in love with the purple's of Tano, and I just dont know what to do.

I need to see comparison shots of the Plum Jelly, Violet, and the Grape colors. I saw the thread where other TPF'ers posted thier own pics, but what I prefer are links to the colors from the Tano website. This way its more accurate, because our pictures wont come out "spot-on" with the flash and the lighting and all of that..

Do you happen to have links to those colors? I know plum jelly is on the Tano website now, but do you have a link to a bag that is Grape? and perhaps the Violet?

Thanks so much for your time, I'm going nuts and I dont know what to do! LOL

Ill see if I can get a link to all three colors for you, but grape was from last season and is no longer in production.

gwendolen, Tano makes different leathers but I assume you are talking about crunch. If you do a search you will find tons of discussion on that topic. It is Tano's most popular leather. It has a base color (tan) and then a different color on top. As you use it, the leather softens, the shine and color fade a bit, revealing more of the base color and developing a cool, vintage look. You can condition and spray occasionally to ward off the process, but thats how its intended to wear.

Thanks! I figured that if I do decide on the grape, that I can just try to hunt one down on ebay or something... I think what I just need is the good comparison shots.. I may already be leaning toward the plum jelly, but Im a big purple fan, so I wouldnt doubt that i might change my mind :p

Thanks again!!!

Hi. First post. If its not supposed to go under this thread, I apologize in advance.

My sister swears that her credit cards are no longer readable because of the magnet in her wallet. Was wondering if there are any known problems with the chicklit and that issue before buying one?

Thanks! I'll definitely go for a crunch bag in that case. I  bags with vintagy feels. Especially if they're worn a lot. I did a search and found interesting colors and styles. Thanks for the answer :)

ok, droo, here are tano stock pics of a bag in violet (left) plum jelly (center) and grape (right)

Hope this helps!
