The ebay bag looks like a melon jet setter to me, too. If thats the bag that you bought, the tag leather in light colors is very difficult to clean. If you put anything on it it might stain.

I'm very knowledgeable about Tano's different materials, colors & styles, the history of Tano and the retail distribution of Tano products, but leather cleaning is not really my area of expertise. I do know that the TAG leather is very absorbant and in light colors somewhat diffucult to keep clean. I would reccomend that you spray the living daylights out of the bag to protect it from further damage before you use it. Good luck!

I've been kinda eyeing the Orange Peel "A Subtle Thing". Do my eyes deceive me or are the smaller handles removeable? The rings look like the type that "open up" or am I just seeing where the two ends of the ring come together?

Hi Tano Expert. Just wanted you to know that I DID pluck up my courage and tried the distilled water wipe method to get rid of water marks on my bag. It worked like a charm!! It now looks like a new bag. However, I will also take your very good advice and spray the h**l out of it with leather protector to prevent any further mishaps.

This is the mystery black bag I mentioned. It has the small Tano tag inside and the lining is lavender. It sippers across the top and has the buckle strap over the top which is magnetic. The two front pockets are also magnetic. Do you have any idea of the name and when it's from?

Oooh - I found out what my mystery bag is - Bello Hostess Bag from 2004, I think Spring.

Tori, that name sounds right, now that you mention it. Its made of Bello leather, which preceded crunch, and the name of the bag was Hostess.
