TE,

I am new to the Tano line and am loving what I see. I just purchased the pom sexbomb with matching chicklit wallet from soleandblues.com. I was shopping for price and hope did not make a mistake by doing so? As I browse these forums, it looks like I should be careful where I buy? I just know I'm going to want to buy another Tano soon!

Hi - welcome!

Ive never heard of that store before, and Ive never heard of anyone here buying Tano bags from them. Perhaps if you post a new thread (either here or in the general forum) asking if the store is reputable, you will get some replies.

Tano bags are very individual... sometimes it takes a few tries to find the "right" one for you. If you don't have a bricks and mortar store nearby where you can check out a bunch of them in person, its best to shop with an e-tailer that has a good return policy.

There are a handful of online Tano retailers that are trusted by TPF'ers. If you venture outside of that group, just be sure that you understand all of the policies in full before you buy (ie: will they give you a full refund if you don't like the bag upon receiving it, will they stand by the product in case any quality issue ever comes up, etc..) so that you don't have any unpleasant hassles or surprises.

Good luck!

TE,

I have a pomegranate boogie and she is starting to fade and I'm looking to buy some tarrago dye or cream and wanted to know if you had any suggestions on which color to purchase. I would like the bag to be as close in color to what it started as, and I also wanted to know is the dye better or the cream polish?

Thanks,
Lindsay

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the specific colors that tarrago offfers, but they will send you a color chart upon request.

Ive never treated or restored any of my tano bags. I actually prefer how they look when they are worn in a bit. :)

Your sound advise is well taken, TE. I've been sweating bullets because I hadn't heard back from soleandblues.com for the Tanos I ordered. But they had charged my credit card immediately. I finally received a callback from them. Turns out they've been a brick and mortar store for ten years and just opened the website six months ago. I have a feeling their overwhelmed with the new venture. Their return policy is good and now that I know how to reach them, I'm not too worried. The bags will be here next week....I have a tracking number. Having said that, for all us newbies, it is a VERY good idea to buy from an established retailer mentioned in TPF. Price isn't always everything. Thanks for your advise, TE!!

PS. I also just purchased a rasp ML from Luna Boston. I'm sure I'll love this classic:woohoo:

Awesome, thank you so much! I am curious though, on that page the snap tab closure is a bit different, do the spring colors look like that or like the black licorice one you have listed in your store?

oh geez, susan, I wish I could tell you. I really dont know what to expect trim wise until the bags arrive, though!

Bags that are solid crunch with no aberdeen trim (ie sex bomb, minilisa) will be all black- but other than that I really cant say for sure.

So far all the black crunch/aberdeen spring bags thats ive seen have had brown trim.
