anyone heard about Dr. Somyos in Yoskarn thailand??
many said he's best in rhino..
i heard lots of good review about him, i think i'll go with Dr. Somyos since i want a natural & feminine nose look, no high bridge, no fake looking..
anyone plan for Dr. Somyos??
i need companion, never been to thailand b4..

i've contacted Dr. Somyos and Dr. preecha but still no reply =(

Foxxie, I was curious and took a look at Dr. Yoskarn's page, but wasn't able to see a lot of front view pics or pictures of Asian people. I've also contacted Dr. Preecha, but haven't had a reply yet either. I wanted to go with Dr. Poomee, but unfortunately, he doesn't do rhinoplasty revisions. :(

Finally, they replied my email!
i got replies from both doctors, ( dr. preecha & somyos ),
it's weird cuz they reply the email in the same day ( yesterday ).

been waiting for almost a week.,
both PAI & Yoskarn suggested me to take rhinoplasty and alarplasty.,
i gave them my pictures so they can suggest the best procedure for me.

PAI doesn't gve any detail information, they only said that i need rhino & alar. oh, and they said "Where are you come from? you look like Thai"
lol!

i've asked for the price, so i'm waiting for the next reply.
i've seen some before and after pictures from the girls of other forum.
they send me by email., they look very good, Dr. Somyos made a cute nose for them., i think.

OK ladies & gents, I'm not sure if any of you know of Suh In-Young (a KPop star)........but from a purely technical/anatomical point of analysis, how was it technically/anatomically feasible for Suh In-Young's nose to be manipulated into so many different variations?

I mean, even in the hands of a top surgeon, a lot of how the final outcome turns out like depends on the shape of nose that you start off with....i.e. there are some types of noses that you simply can't "construct" unless you have a certain shape to start off with. So with Suh In-Young's nose (judgmental comments about her frequent PS aside), I'm just surprised how her surgeons were able to turn her nose into so many diff't forms (like the super-pointy tip she had at one point......how did they even shape the cartilage like that?).

and her latest nose

What a pity. IMO, she was quite good-looking for starters. My two cents, but she now looks like an alien.

I have always thought that multiple revisions were a definite no-no (think of Michael Jackson). Anyways, she doesn't seem to lack cartilage or other material to build her nose over and over again... really strange.

Thanks shinangel. I'm thinking maybe Dr. Chuang isn't interested in working on my nose, then. :( There are some doctors who have replied who really don't see anything wrong with it at all, so maybe they prefer taller noses too. I've just sent Dr. Jung an e-mail, and am hoping to get a response from him soon. I like his work, but it's more than I was looking to spend!

Hi everyone, Dr. Somyos replied my email,he said:

"You have a nice proninent forehead contour ,this make your nasal bridge appear relatively low. This traslate into the neccessity of using the implant. Thus the nose jobe involve.
a Tip plasty
b.L shape implant
c.Alarplasty
the price is $3500 usd include 2 night in our facility.
2.Your lower lip reduction is apporpriate ,however the upper may be your option ,since it is not that thick.
The cost for lower lip is $450 each under local anesthesia unless you combinded with nose surgery .We will do your lip surgery under gerneral anesthesia with the price $450 . Ohterwise if you prefer lip surgery under IV sedation the price is $800 usd with 1 night"

Is L-Shaped implant would be fine?
what i'm afraid of implants are:
1. i'm afraid it'll make my nose look too pointy..
2. my nose look unatural
3. hardness of nasal tip
4. n so on..
i'm actually happy with round tip which look more natural.. but more defined would be nice

can anyone suggest what would look good and what's not?
i want a natural look, no fake looking, no HIGH bridge, a bit higher is ok..
anyone have some reference noses pictures that suits me well??

hey foxxie, i'm so confused too! i really want to get my nose done before the end of the year, but i really don't know who to go with. i was actually thinking about going to the philippines to see dr. rino lorenzo, but someone here told me he killed someone during a liposuction procedure due to negligence. i'm not getting that procedure from him, though, so i don't think i have to worry. I just want to get my nose re-done properly with an alarplasty, and my eyes too. i have eyelid folds, but have some extra fat that i'd like to get rid of in that area. i don't know what to think about dr. lorenzo's work in regards to eyes, though. it kind of just looks like cut-and-stitch work to me, but maybe those pictures were immediately after the surgery? i sure hope so. i'm also considering dr. lasa from the philippines too. he was trained over here in the states, so that could be either a bad or good thing. communication is great, but he says he doesn't e-mail pictures because of patient confidentiality, so i would actually have to fly out there to see before & after pictures. does that sound a little strange to you?

from what i remember reading on here, an L-shaped implant isn't a good idea, but i can't remember exactly what was said about it. =/ i'm surprised that dr. preecha's cost was so low! i will have to ask dr. somyos for pictures, and see if he does revision surgeries. i was really surprised when dr. poomee told me he doesn't do revision surgeries! i just logged in to dr. preecha's photo gallery, and wasn't that impressed.

for dr. jung's work, it would be in the ballpark of $8,000-$12,000, and that's more than i was looking to spend, so i won't be able to do my eyes, but most of his work is very natural-looking, even with dramatic change.

You don't consider dr. Tseng, Hsu or Kao from Taiwan, by any chance? They are slightly more expensive than dr. Chuang, if I am not wrong. But definitely cheaper than Jung. Check it out:

http://www.drtseng.com.tw/
http://www.ychsu.com/cartilage.htm
http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/face-nose/archive?l=f&id=14

Their pages are in Taiwanese, but you could use Google Translation to have an approximate idea of what they are about. Also, Taiwanese doctors tend to be more conservative, so they would perhaps agree with you about the height of your bridge.

Please do a lot of research about the material for bridge augmentation! There have been a few people who suffered extrusion from L-shaped implants on this forum, and the Sing Expats one as well. And according to some of them, silicon looks fake. Based on my own experience I would even dare to say that Goretex look fake (maybe due to my very thin skin). Don't go for cheap if you are not entirely sure about the doc! Expensive is not a guarantee for satisfactory results, but cheap isn't either. So don't be fooled by the prices. Choose a surgeon who you feel most comfortable with. Don't rush (like stupid, naive me). If necessary, postpone surgery untill you have found the one who's right for you and untill you have saved enough money! Postponing will allow you to think twice about the doc you want to go for.
