Art Deco Ring - Keep or Not?

I love it! very simple and classic, when it comes to jewerly everyone has their own taste, so I wouldn't care how your mother or friend feel about it...I would snag it up for myself 
TBH I didn't like it at first, but I do really like how it looks on your hand... perhaps your mom & sister were reacting to the picture of it by itself? You seem to really love it so I would say keep it. The only reasons I can think of for not keeping it are (1) too expensive/can't afford it (2) not perfect so you might be tempted to buy something else similar. My family members diss things I own all the time (we're a blunt family and they don't mean any malice by it.. I hope!), and it's never stopped me from getting anything I loved!

I think my initial hesitation came from two places (1) ensuring I got a deal because I did no research and essentially just purchased and (2) thinking I was blind in not seeing something (ugly) that others didn't!
I think it's worth the price and quite frankly I need to stop giving so much weight to my mother's opinions. We are so different in every way! I love and respect her but I'm finally a working adult, so the opinions can stay at the door, finally!
My mother has, however, taught me to always haggle (especially on estate pieces) and as hard as I tried, I failed here. The SA told me it was a mismarked piece and should have been listed as $250 more than the tag itself so there was no room for negotiation according to her manager. She told me that if I walked out of the store without buying it they would have to retag the piece. Ever the captive audience I fell right for this pitch!
Anyway, it's a winner to me and you all have helped me realize I really just need to worry about one opinion... mine! I really appreciate all the honest help

I just heard from the appraiser in Baltimore this afternoon and my ring was appraised for more than double what I paid for it! I'm so happy
Apparently the diamonds, while tiny, are ideal cut and F color!
They really sparkle after I cleaned it in the diamond solution although I can't seem to capture that with the camera phone.
I really like it more and more with time (not just because of the appraisal).

I always love that feeling when you get something you really really like and want.. and then you end up liking it more every day and getting all excited about it every time you wear it. That's how I know I made a good buy!

It's awesome, I have something really similar and get sooo many compliments on it because the old diamonds sparkle like crazy!!!!
