My 8 year old was very excited about her, and she has never gotten really into Katy Perry, Beiber, Taylor, any of them. I think it was because she liked that Sam & Cat show on Nick.

I told her about some of her behavior towards fans, and now she says she likes her songs, but doesn't like her as a person.

Nope. And she really needs to ditch the kitty cat ears - she looks comical. I recently saw a pic of her back when she was on the Nickelodeon show... she looks nothing like she does nowadays.

I hope parents are listening to the lyrics. Anything with The Weeknd on it is going to have some explicit lyrics from him.

He says "when I get you moaning, you know it's real; can you feel the pressure between your hips?". Now I'm long in the tooth so I say "yes, gwad" to those lyrics but I really hope there's a censored version being played on the radio.

Kids don't understand those kinds of lyrics, and if they do understand them, well they already understand them so it doesn't really matter anymore. I kind of doubt the parents or the kids are actually thinking about the lyrics though. Those catchy songs on the radio people tend to sing along without thinking about what they're singing.

As a 90's kid, i only recently realized what the song "liquid dreams" was actually about. I remember singing along to that song all the time, i cant believe my parents let me listen to it lol!
