Aarti - This happened to me with the Alicia sunglasses. I ordered them, because they were still in the system to order, but they called me a day ot two later to let me know that I was getting a refund because they were "unorderable".

Sure enough, I checked with a few different Coach stores, and the sunglasses were no longer available in the computer system... However. There were a few left at random stores around the company. And I was able to order them, sent straight from that store!! (Small triumph!!) If you know your SA at the Coach store fairly well, why don't you go in & explain what happened. See if they can search store inventory for your shoes... more then likely the size sold out. I think alot of the shoes "sold out" over PCE... but there are going to be alotta dopes out there, *LIKE ME* :shame: , that had to bring every single pair they bought back because none of them were fitting right... Long story.

i would definitely call hq and see if they can at least get you a discount on something else. they've been GREAT in the past with things like that.

but did you think about the fact that the SA might have rung up the order but it cannot be ordered? so they refunded your money?

or did they specifically say that because it is new product that they can't honor the 25

because corporate did say exceptions can be made, therefore, you do have a case in that sense.
hey ms-whitney, no of course you're not rude. i'm not sure about your question though? Basically they told me I could order this, and took payment and I was charged, then two days later I got a message that they canceled my order and refunded my money, but it still hasn't reflected on ym balance.

i hope i'm not too late, i totally missed this

but what happens when they put that order through, they probably neglectedn to look through JAX to see if it's actually orderable.

shame on them.

and it's their bad too, because while the sales is reflected on the SA's tally, overall, they would not get the $$ if Jax is out

because what happens is that if JAX isn't out, the system will still let you put the order through IF surrounding stores have enough of that product

this is a dangerous thing to do during PCE because while a store may have 5 or 6 of those glasses, it could all disappear within a day since the PCE makes people shop more the usual, also, the SAs of that store might have just neglected to do their found orders (when another store's found order is given to them) so by the time they got to it, the glasses are gone

and that's why they refunded your money.

it could have been a mis-inventory too, but seeing as how inventory was done not too long ago

i think it was just sold out

sorry to hear about that and you should be getting the money back (by now definitely)

next time you order something, to be sure it doesn't happen make sure the SA checks JAX, if there is none, most likely you'd get your item from another store if you do get it.

if there is none in JAX and the found goes through anyway, there is no guarnette (sp) and the SA should have warned you

you have every right to complain if you wish about that point
