Thanks for this information. I am getting the Apple Guard to protect my Vintage Ergo tote from stains/water. I look forward to seeing this bag get a lovely Patina. This is my first Vachetta leather bag and I really love it.

Are all of the legacy bags (mandy, ali, satchel, etc) vachetta leather? Or are you referring to the new ergo's that state "vintage" in their names?

patina is what vachetta is called once is has "aged"

bread = vachetta

patina = toast

Went to Louis Vuitton today and checked out the Dentelle line for the very first time. It'll make you like patina'd vachetta!

Ive said it before and I'll say it again.. I LOVE vachetta..... I too like many first freaked out when I got a spot on the vachetta on my messenger....but over time as the patina has developed...I ADORE it. So I don't let little things bother me...because I must prefer it now to how it was when I first brought it home. It just shows me that its a beautiful well loved bag.
