Mine's in between. It's not unexpected but not planned either. I go in, see it, like it, decide to get it and that's it. It's not unexpected but not planned, see?

That's me too.
Usually in the months of February, May or December since they coincide with Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, my birthday and Christmas.

When DH gets the bills I use the "but it was for *insert day here*"

All but 1 have been planned, the unplanned one was when I took my boyfriend in to look at wallets, he had this horrible thing that was coming apart at the seams that his mommy had gotten him, I told him to put that nasty thing in a drawer if he wanted to keep it but he was getting a new wallet, anyhow I took him to my SA at LV and I was looking at the 6 key holder to save up for, he told her "I'll take the wallet, and I guess I'll take that key holder too!" I was soooooooooo shocked and Happy!!!!!

I usually have a wish list for the pricey stuff like LV bags and accessories. Usually I wait for a reason or special occasion to splurge on a bag so I can look back and know why I got that bag.

LV purchases for me are always planned. first i have to ask hubby if it's ok to make a major purchase (it's a system we have...we ok purchases over 200 dollars with each other). then i have to save. then i have to decide if i really want it enough to fork over all the cash i've saved without my stomach tying into knots. :)

so far, only speedy has passed all three tests. took about six months of hemming and hawing then four months of saving before it was in my hand. :)

Mostly planned....well usually I drool for awhile..drive hubby nuts, and then on a spur he'll say "let's go to chicago and get your purse"
I went into LV with the sole purpose of a MC speedy...but discovered it was a tad too big for me and got a different MC purse instead. So it was kinda sorta unplanned lol
My next purchase is a Balenciaga Twiggy and that one is planned. Started saving last week (halfway there YAAA). Following that will be the fall '06 black monogram speedy and then a Marc Jacobs.

I'm trying to be good :-)
