Yellow gold is always a classic but rose gold would be more of a trend. Both are equally as flashy. So if you want something in between, then it's the two tone, steel/gold combination.

I'm in the market for a bold, yg watch, but am not sure if it'll look weird with my wedding set, which is platinum. Any thoughts? I'm having trouble searching for "in action" pics to help me figure it out...

i was wearing YG before, then i stopped when i got married 10 yrs ago and started wearing my WG/Plat wedding set. now i'm starting to fall in love with YG all over again! :smile1:

i started researching boyfriend watches and came across this Coach one. i thought it looked beautiful online, but when i saw it today at Macys, i fell in love with it more, and ended up buying it!!

i dont know if it'll look good with my WG/plat wedding set, but at this point, i love it too much to care hehehe.

Gold has never been out. Just look at how much it costs per ounce!
I think you should wear what looks best on your skin tone or goes with what you wear more. I like the idea of two-tone if you wear alot of both YG and WG.

I love gold tone watches.. if I could afford a rose gold one I would, I've always stuck to silver/steel. because it matches my jewelry better. for my boyfriend I bought him a two tone bulova, because he wears gold jewelry but it would still be versatile

I don't think gold-tone watches were ever really out - I consider yellow gold a classic, but I do think the larger boyfriend size yellow golds are very popular right now. I'm actually thinking about a large gold-tone watch for myself. Personally I prefer yellow gold as that's what my wedding set is made of, and the tone looks nicer on my skin, but I do wear some silver, stainless and two-tone as well.

I think rose gold is also a classic, but it is definitely trending right now, along with ceramic watches.

I don't know if it's necessarily trendy or not, but rather an indication of where someone is financially. I have both and have noticed in stores like Tourneau, I am completely ignored with a silver watch and bombarded when I'm wearing gold. It's really obnoxious how different the attitude is. I've learned to wear silver so they don't show me everything in the store.
