Are bright green bags useful?

Obviously swimming against the tide here but ever since I saw a picture of someone with an Hermes Kelly in Vert Moyen against a tailored dark grey suit I was transfixed. I don't have many bags in bright colours, so perhaps it's the 'unexpected' that I like.

My most expensive bags are bright green, I think part of the allure is when most do bright and 'pop', they go for red or pink. I wear them with navy, black, browns, rusts, masala, aubergine and purples, beige, stone, light natural pink and nudes. Anyway, apart from the obvious 'pop' against neutrals or colour blocking (I was wearing my Bambou GP with cobalt tee and black tailored coat just yesterday)

You don't have to wear it with neutrals either.

Other greens work well with greens, and mixing greens with greys

Totally agree with you on this! I had a bright green Kate Spade that I used to jazz up a more neutral outfit. I did use it mostly in the spring though. It really is all about personal preference.Using a color wheel can help identify complimentary colors to coordinate a bag and outfit.

Colors directly next to each other (i.e. yellow and yellow-orange; yellow and yellow-green; violet and blue-violet, etc.)

Colors that form right (90 degree) angles with each other (i.e. yellow and red-orange; blue and violet-red; green and orange, etc.)

Colors directly across from each other (i.e. yellow and violet; blue and orange; red and green, etc.)

Colors that form a T (i.e. blue, orange, and violet-red; yellow, violet, and red-orange; yellow, blue-green, and red-orange, etc.)

Colors that form an X (i.e. blue, orange, violet-red, and yellow, violet, blue-green, and red-orange, etc.)

Wow love it alll!! ♡♡♡

My bright green bag is one of my most worn bags actually! In a way all my bright bags get lots of love. Neutral color + 1 item in a matching shade create magic imho! ;)

We should all keep your post for colour wheel reference :ps:

You always have great style (which gets better and better IMO). Very clever and innovative with your green bag

I was so excited to see a post about green bags that I was compelled to finally post after years of lurking. I wear a mostly neutral wardrobe but love color and texture in my accessories. I bought an emerald green Furla Candy Bag that, honestly, I haven't used enough but it was great in the spring with jeans and off-white converse low tops. Most recently I snagged a second hand Gucci green Python Jackie hobo that I think goes with everything as long as there is a dressier element. Love green bags!ImageUploadedByPurseForum1455762229.412581.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1455762243.217130.jpg

I know some people seem to be anti-color for their bags but it all depends on you. The vast majority of my bags are colored...red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, etc. I love wearing bright bags against mostly neutral outfits. I think it adds a bit of fun to the outfit. It really depends on your personal style. Do you have outfits that a bright green bag would go well with?

And every bag is useful as long as you actually USE it. If you wear it, then it is useful. If it is just going to sit in your closet, then it is not useful. The bags usefulness all depends on whether you will actually use the bag or not.
