Omg! How did I miss this? And how did I ever survive without a bright green bag? This is an inspiring post, thank you dear PTObviously swimming against the tide here but ever since I saw a picture of someone with an Hermes Kelly in Vert Moyen against a tailored dark grey suit I was transfixed. I don't have many bags in bright colours, so perhaps it's the 'unexpected' that I like.
My most expensive bags are bright green, I think part of the allure is when most do bright and 'pop', they go for red or pink. I wear them with navy, black, browns, rusts, masala, aubergine and purples, beige, stone, light natural pink and nudes. Anyway, apart from the obvious 'pop' against neutrals or colour blocking (I was wearing my Bambou GP with cobalt tee and black tailored coat just yesterday)
You don't have to wear it with neutrals either.

I'm not the norm. I never match my bags to my outfit. I carry a bag for a week and if it matches my outfit great, if it clashes that's great too. I'm 41, and I do dress conservatively, but at times I'll add a piece that's a bit unexpected. For example I was wearing a beautiful black dress with black tights and my Hello Kitty vans. Yes, I can get away with it. So, for me personally when I carry a green bag (green is my favorite color) I could wear purple and not be concerned. Lol. Here's one of my green bags, a Kate Spade. The color is bright, but I've worn it with black jeans, and a pink blazer, and black boots before. I actually welcome the non matchy-matchiness.
That's lovely, great shape for that colour!
Maybe only you and I think green and purple work great together![]()
Just wow. Gorgeous. No one can argue that a green bag looks great now!Obviously swimming against the tide here but ever since I saw a picture of someone with an Hermes Kelly in Vert Moyen against a tailored dark grey suit I was transfixed. My new green bag came in purple dustbag/box. Looks perfect.
A good friend & I named purple/green the official colors for 2015. Because they followed us through year & were healing/uplifting.![]()
