Kelly is authentic, it is chocolate Courchevel. The holes in the corners don't look the best in the pictures and I doubt they can be repaired. I cannot be sure from the pictures if someone has tried to dye them or touch them up in some way. If that is so, the bag will likely be refused at Hermes for refurbishing.

hi there,

First time posting here :) saw this beautiful Hermes Birkin 40cm Togo Black on gumtree australia (Classified), texted seller and seller willing to go to local Hermes store to get the bag checked/authenticated. But i understand that SA wont authenticate bags. so I hope you guys can help me :)

Same comment as before. Pictures are not a lot, and skip key images like the Hermes Paris stamp and a close up of the engraving. I dont see any issues in what is shown.

Welcome! You are correct, Hermes Sales Assistants are not permitted to authenticate bags, and many are unqualified to do so as well in my experience.

I am sorry, but these pictures posted by you and by the seller in the listing are completely inadequate for a serious authentication of this bag. Please take a look at the list in our first post. All pictures must show details clearly and be taken straight on, and ideally in good natural daylight.

- Clear picture of the interior lining
- Base of the handles
- Side view of the strap guides
- Lock and key set, including numbers on keys and at the base of the lock
