Comments: Hi, I am new to this forum, as well as a new eBayer. I have never owned a hermes birkin before because I can never catch one in store. Thank you for authenticating this for me. :smile1:

Not authentic. Welcome, and please consider posting in other threads as it's our preference to assist contributing members. Thanks.

Hello,

Could you please take a look at this bag for me, thanks!

Name: New 35cm togo Signature Orange Hermes Birkin
Seller: cr_wil88
Item Number: 221210183475
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221210183475

Copied below from the first post on this thread, please read it before making a request, thank you.

OTHER NEXT STEPS BEFORE YOU MAKE A REQUEST:
Zero Feedback: Authenticators will always tell you to avoid a seller with no feedback. Do not bother asking.

I have discovered that there are quite a lot of sellers who state guarantee authenticity or your money back on their hermes listings. As I am new to eBay, I am not sure how repliable this is, even it says so, what can we provide in terms of evidence to say this bag isn't genuine?

Here is an example, is this item genuine?

Item:NEW Hermes Black calf leather 35cm Birkin handbag w/gold tone hardware NR

Listing number: 111049280514

seller: sdgeyheryeryh

Link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Herme...514?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item19db0d8c02

Comments: I have read on some other websites on methods of identifying a genuine hermes bag, and it says the authentic ones will never come with an orange "authenticity care", is this right? Because I purchased a kelly wallet in a Hermes boutique before and there is no such orange cards in it, but in this particular listing, it shows an orange authenticity and claim the item is genuine.

For one thing, we do not discuss what does or does not make a bag or Hermes item authentic.

For another, kindly read what I wrote in response to your last request, and reread the first post in this thread for reasons some posts will not receive an answer.

Thank you.

Thanks. I am sorry I did not see this post and I have posted again on the thread. Is that mean I cannot reply to this thread because I am new to this forum?

It means we prefer to authenticate for members who contribute broadly to PF, and do not merely ask for authentication help. We also prefer that only those members with broad posting and Hermes brand experience offer their opinions in this thread.

Thanks.

Okay, I understand now, but as I have mentioned, I literally have signed up yesterday, how can I possibly be broadly contribute to the forum when I have not yet completely know how the whole forum works. I know this forum over another eBayer who claimed his bag was authenticated here, and I thought the members of the forum will be friendly enough to welcome new members, and to help them to contribute more to the discussion. Some people do have hermes brand experience but just not on particular items.

You've been able to make several posts in the authentication thread - I don't know why it isn't possible for you to make posts in other threads in the same time period? There are literally thousands on PurseForum. Surely there is something that would interest you, or where you could contribute knowledge.

Our policy for the thread is very clearly laid out in the first post. As stated, we are more than happy to help contributing members. We've said this repeatedly in this thread - we do this as volunteers, spending our own free time to help others. We feel that's actually pretty welcoming. All we ask in return is that members contribute elsewhere on the forum, as we do here.

This is going way off-topic; feel free to PM me if you have more questions, because the thread needs to get back to topic now.
