Essentially what I am asking is if the bag in person matches the photos posted here exactly, then is it authentic... I understand concerns that photos may be passed off as being of the item being purchased where they are generic photos taken from elsewhere. This is often the problem with buying online... As I am lucky enough to be able to see whether the bag in person matches to the photos provided online- this is what my point was.

I also wanted to know whether I could ring the boutique at which it was allegedly purchased (on th receipt) and ask whether that particular bag/customer number was in their system...

The bag in the photo is not authentic - that is what we are saying. It also appears that some of the photos are not from the same bag, which does not make this a trustworthy seller - again, in my opinion.

The price is also too low for an authentic bag. I would not pursue this, but your risk tolerance may be much lower than mine.

Thanks for that, I should add that I am not 'blind buying' - I will meet the seller in person and inspect the bag first. Other than the background- is there anything about the bag itself??

Perhaps you mis understood what I wrote. The bag pictured is not authentic. I would suggest you do not bother pursuing it further.

Bambola, Give faith to the authenticators, they have been ard long enough to know what's a good deal or not. Unless, u r willing to throw the $3k down the drain without batting an eyelid :).

Thank you- I was not questioning your opinion, simply asking what the foundation was for it. If there is a strong belief that the bag is fake, of course I will not pursue it. I am risk averse... It would be nice to know what about the bag exactly gives it away as being fake- not for want of questioning your finding, but rather, simply to generate education for the future and prevent people (like me) from buying these counterfeit items.

Thanks

Oh my goodness- I have been completely misunderstood.. I do not question the opinions provided here and I will not purchase the bag after receiving them! I simply wanted to know what gave it away so I do not fall for it again next time!!! thank you for your time

There are many features in those photos inconsistent with an authentic bag.

The decision to pursue it is, of course, yours. Good luck with your decision.

Please post additional pictures if you receive them, these alone aren't enough. Thank you.

This is not an authentication question but rather an ID question, after searching far and near I can not determine the style nor can I find the correct thread. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The boutiques do not authenticate bags and they are certainly not going to give you private information on their clients. You should listen to what everyone here is telling you. If you already have your mind made up which it sounds like you do, then you're wasting everyone's time here.
