I really commiserate with you. Things are much more under control on the bag authenticating thread, probably because some of the ladies there are very smart, very, dedicated, and very knowledgeable. If you misuse the word "fake" (as I once did in my early days...) you get flamed in an instant!

Exactly, which is why unless one is an expert one should refrain from authenticating. Questioning authenticity and posting your thoughts is one thing. To make an authoritative post that something is fake is another. You can't image what a headache it is for sellers to have to "clean up" after posts like this...someone says its a fake, the person who bought it freaks out, then person who sold it stresses out and contacts the person they originally bought it from..which in this case was me.....very frustrating.

Even though I own 11 Hermes bags, 1 agenda, 2 wallets and many accessories, I still don't feel comfortable authenticating anything. I do know the blatant fakes. I only post if I really know that it's a counterfeit. Sometimes I wait and see when the authenticators say whether it's fake or not. Lots of times I still get duped by the fakes.

i cant believe how many fake hermes bag on ebay..lot's of seller trying to scam you.there's this 1 seller i bought hermes from and gave me discount and made me another invoice.and when i found out that the bag was fake called up ebay right away and returned the bag next thing i knew i cant get my money back because the invoice was not from ebay anymore.snicky seller!i'm trying to catch this seller so she won't be able to fool other ebay buyers..eventhough i cant get my money back but atleast i can help other buyer from buying fake hermes or any kind of fake.

I recently purchased a Hermes Wallet at an estate sale. I've looked on the web but can't seem to find one like it. I'm not sure if it's authentic but the thing that stands out is the H logo it has the carriage and horse engraved on it. I can't find one like it on the web.Attached are some pictures
