I've only read the first few pages, but I will back and read the rest later.

I love my Apple Watch. I feel like it is such a huge time saver, and I'm able to go about my business without being tied to my phone. I can answer texts, phones calls etc without lugging my phone around-just leaving it in my purse. . I wasn't sure how I'd feel about having everything at my wrist because I almost always have goals of unplugging and not staring at my screen all the time. But it actually helps big time!

My husband was really negative towards the Apple Watch. He lasted 4 days of seeing me use mine before he admitted he was wrong and bought his own. I don't know how I'd live without it. It's a part of me now ;)

I feel silly for asking this question, but here goes.... Does your iPhone need to be relatively close by in order for the watch to function?

I don't have an Apple Watch. But I believe with the current one , that the iPhone needs to be close by. However, rumor has it, that the next Apple Watch ( sept 2016) , the iPhone won't have to be nearby.

I guess the iPhone a acts as the wifi hotspot then?
I'm so very far from an Apple Store or retailer, this is why I ask.

Within a blue tooth connection, but it's pretty strong. Like my phone can be in the house and it'll connect while I'm in my back yard or front yard.

Some functions don't need your phone, like you can download songs to your watch and go for a run while listening to music w/ Bluetooth headphones. I believe Apple Pay works without your phone too.
