Hm.... But my pebbled brooke is not water resistant, nor is my pebbled soho...
They get water spots just from the snow... They dry and marks disappear because it is just water, but makes me wonder what if I spillled anything on it by accident, say coffee? Would apple guarde hurt it?
Few months ago I bought pebble leather taupe brooke, the SA trying to fix some marks on it used the moisturiser. The bag got ruined , the color started rubbing off showing light brown color underneath. I ended up returing the bag. So now I am really scared to apply anything unless I hear someone did it and it worked. I am also having a hart time putting a bag to an everyday use if it is now water resistant.

Oh, bummer! My pebbled ali is parchment, so I don't notice any water marks. Maybe spray a small area where it won't bother you, (that is, if you can tell the difference-handle, maybe?), and put a drop of water on it to see what happens. Of course, it's easy for me to suggest you to experiment with your bag! ;) There's got to be something you can do to prevent/fix water stains. Hopefully, after Mother's Day, the leather experts will be back to help us!

You should be able to spray protectant on pebbled leather okay, as long as you don't over saturate it. It is the conditioner that can sometimes collapse the grain. Good luck!

:thinkin::wondering I guess I will try on some place, maybe on the bottom, in the corner, in the slouch area... I also noticed that guarde dries the leather a lot, so after guard it might need to be conditioned. :wonderingI think I will wait till maybe somebody here tells us that they have done it and it worked.

Regular Leather is a porous material ( not patent leather) so it can dry out and get dirty. Conditioner is intended to moisturize and clean the skin so you do this step first. Once the leather is dry ( ie 24 hrs) now you want to spray it with the guard to seal and protect from future dirt and water. Doing the steps in reverse will probably prevent the conditioner from being absorbed by the leather and possibly trap any dirt.

Depending on the brand of condiioner it may also offer protective properties as well. You need to read the label.

If the leather bag is new and not dirty you generally only need to spray a water/ stain protective coating - depending of course on the bag restrictions.

I apple guarded and apple conditioned my quartz brooke and it turned out just fine, the color didn't change, maybe got a shade deeper, but I can't really tell. So thank you all for your pieces of advice! And the ones;), who were too scared to mess with your Brookes - go ahead it is safe! I also did that to my pebbled soho hobo.

Hi everyone, I tried to do a search, but I wasn't able to turn up anything. Has anyone tried to use Apple Condition and Rain and Stain Guarde on their leather Poppy pocket hobo? I have a black leather one and the leather is so dry. I'd feel better knowing if anyone has tried it first though. The care card says not to use any products on this bag.

I tried to find something, but I was having a hard time. I just got the parchment hippie. I bought the apple conditioner today at Burlington coat factory. I didn't buy the gaurde spray.

If I condition my bag, will it lose the luster shine it has now???

Will the color change of the leather??

Also, is it ok to just moisturize it, without spraying?

How would I apply it, so I get the best results??

Sorry if these questions are buried in this thread, but I want to do my bag tonight.

Thanks in advance

Look up post 592 . One of the ladies answered all of the questions. I hope it will help you too. I have appled my parchment madison hippie, and it looks beautiful, didn't change. I do believe the guarde is supposed to protect from color transfer, stains, rain and conditioner doesn't. So it is up to you if you want to spray too. I plan on spraying it with the guarde, but I ran out of it after doing all my bags past weekend.

Bumping my question up again. Anyone know if it's okay?
