Anyone with a VCA watch? Is it worth getting?

Hi all, I have the sweet Alhambra pink MOP watch and my amazing Jeweller managed to remove the links and covert it into a regular necklace, the old link joints are completely removed. Please see pic. I’m so so happy with the results and 10000% recommend this!View attachment 5788108
I bought the rose gold chain from VCA and got a jeweler to turn it into a bracelet for me. I didn’t want to remove the links so bracelet’s the only option. Now I have another bracelet instead of keeping the motif in storage.

Good idea too! I thought about doing this but wondered if the motif will be too heavy and end up flipping all the time, what’s your experience?

I am turning 46 this year. I bought my watch earlier this year and I have no issues with telling the time. I alternate this watch with a JLC Reverso for weekday wear

Thank you for the beautiful pic! I'm contemplating between JLC Reverso and VCA watch (exactly the one you are wearing). Which would you recommend? I have JLC rendenz-vou/chanel j12/ bulvagri serpenti / cartier tank..

Depends on whether you are a watch aficionado. If you’re more a watch person I would for sure go for the Reverso. If you are a VCA collector and don’t care about movement and watch history, do VCA. I love the Reverso but haven’t committed because I only buy watches with a date. But the art deco vibe of Reverso is gorgeous, elegant and of course, it’s movement….

Thank you!! I still can't decide between the two but soon will make a decision. I appreciate your reply! <3

Are your other watches stainless steel or gold? When I bought my Reverso, I thought it would be my final watch but I ended up getting my VCA watch a year later cos I love the idea of having a gold watch which won't show wear and tear since the Sweet Alhambra watch has a milgrain bezel. A VCA watch would also look like jewelry and also tells the time and that's an extra plus over a stainless steel Reverso. I love Reversos but I think that since you already have a Tank, you should go for the VCA Sweet Alhambra watch which has a clover face instead of a standard circular or rectangular face :D

Hi, thank you for your reply. I'm actually looking at the gold mono-face reverso! Reverso is more of a classic-looking, timeless piece that can be worn at my work (with a sent of professionalism) whereas Alhambra is more of a jewelry type. I love VCA and JLC so... it's a hard one for sure!

I was contemplating a VCA watch but ultimately decided against it. I went in to try the single motif YG guilloche watch but it didn't look good on my wrist. The SA nudged me to try one of the bracelet watches and it was really pretty but it kept flipping and imo looks better as a bracelet than a watch. I decided it was too delicate for me so I didn't buy it but here's a photo for the eye candy!

The mechanical arpels watch in 38mm~ I also tried the bracelet alhambra watch but can’t really get over the face that it didn’t hv hours mark which to me make me difficult to look at time, this one really fit the bills but the exact same without diamond rim is $13k less lol so essentially I’m paying usd 13k for 2.8 carats of diamond still wonder if it’s worth it

They are using Piaget movement (this is paper thin and so comfortable on the wrist I mean the arpel watch) but I can’t find which model they are using so I’m wondering would it be better off to just buy Piaget polo date directly lol

This is a beautiful watch, but piaget is better known for watches (afaik). Have you seen the possession watch? I love it and it has a similar-ish vibe to me; though it’s a Quartz. The steel and diamond 34mm is for 9.3k though, so maybe you could do both the possession and the polo and it’ll still come out to less than the VCA watch I’m sure!
