I recently visited the Shisabashi boutique in Osaka, and they had a beautiful 5-motif bracelet in WMOP! If I hadn’t already made a purchase, I would have definitely bought it there 😭.

Making an appointment is essential for a great experience. The staff made me feel very welcome. I was wearing VCA jewelry, though I’m not sure if it made a difference, haha. The staff even thanked me for wearing their brand 😂. Anyone without an appointment was turned away by what I assume was a stern greeter/doorman. 😅

I was served chocolate and water, but unfortunately, I didn’t leave with the piece I wanted—though I did buy something else. There were some interesting pieces in the store, like timepieces and the Perlee collection. I also saw a 16-motif Sweet Alhambra in pavé, as well as Alhambra pendants, earrings (onyx, MOP/YG), Lucky Spring pieces, etc.

I asked the SA if they accepted walk-ins, and they said rarely—only if someone cancels or their appointment ends early. That said, I noticed other SAs around the boutique who weren’t attending to clients, which left me a bit confused as to why they didn’t seem to accept walk-ins when there were staff available.

Also, I’ve been trying to book an appointment at the Ginza Maison for about a month, following up every few days, but I still can’t seem to get one. Has anyone else had the same experience?
Thanks for the feedback! Its good to know an appointment is the way to go! I'm hoping for an appointment in Ginza as well in Feb!

I didn’t have an appointment for the Ginza Maison but did show up in the morning on a weekday and they took me! When I visited later in the day, like 1-ish on a previous day, they were totally booked already.

I managed to walk in to VCA Ginza in August and was paired with a lovely SA who has given me her email and mobile number for future appointments. Ginza SIX is tiny and I think really requires an appointment. I like how they thank you for wearing their brand in Japan, I was so pleasantly surprised when it also happened in Hermes Ginza! Happy shopping!

I was able to book an appointment at the Ginza boutique when I checked this morning at around 5am (jet lag) and there were appointments M-Th the next two weeks. I’m crossing my fingers I’ll find something on my wishlist when I go in on Monday!

i am confused how to book these appointments. I looked online but it appears all the days (up through FEbruary ) do not light up -- i am unable to click on them. am i doing something wrong??

I don’t think the Ginza boutique releases appointments that far ahead. Before, when I checked it looked like they were released 30 days in advance, but now I’m not sure how soon they release appointments. I just kept checking until I saw availability. I don’t believe you’re doing anything wrong, just that there’s no availability and it’s hard to say when there will be. I would just advise checking periodically, or be one of the firsts as a walk in?

Currently in Tokyo and wanted to share my experience! I was able to make a reservation at the Kyoto VCA boutique but not any of the Tokyo ones.

I didn’t think to ask my hotel concierge until today, which is our last day in Tokyo. But our concierge told us they could help reserve an appointment by calling the Tokyo boutiques as long as we told them two days in advance.

I did manage to get my first VCA necklace! A vintage Alhambra MOP pendant. We walked into the Ginza Maison location 30 minutes after opening on a Sunday and got a time slot to come back at 3pm later that day. They did ask me what I was looking for and double checked to see if they had it in stock before reserving the time slot for me. For reference I walked by the store on Saturday around 1pm and they had run out of walk-in time slots for the day.

I was shown the sweet Alhambra MOP pendant, the white gold diamond sweet Alhambra one and finally the vintage Alhambra MOP. The SA was very nice and they had an English translator. The SA told me she also had the sweet Alhambra in carnelian in stock. They said the white gold diamond sweet necklace constantly sells out but they did restock it today so if anyone is looking for that one, the Ginza maison store has it.

I was a little worried due to the bad reviews but everyone was very courteous and nice and we couldn’t have had a better experience!!

There are a lot of bad reviews for this one and Ginza Six but I have never had anything but good experiences— even when they’ve turned me away. They’re always polite about it. Some people just don’t like ever hearing a no.

Reporting back! Went to my appointment at the Ginza boutique. When I got there at 2, there was a sign outside that said they no longer had appointments for the rest of the day.

I went in, checked in, and was quickly attended to by a very nice SA, with a gentleman helping to translate.

I originally went in looking for a Vintage pendant, but none I liked were available. The SA brought out what they had: Grey MOP, YG Guilloche, and two Pave pieces. I already had the Guilloche and wasn’t interested in the others. Then I asked about the sweet pendants. What she pulled out were: the MOP, carnelian, and WG pave. I chose the sweet carnelian pendant, and she took out 3 for me to choose from. I eventually chose a darker red after going back and forth between two.

I was asked to choose between two packagings and chose the pouch, and got the new cleaning kit. As they were finishing up my transaction, they asked if I had any questions or were looking for anything else. Unfortunately I was in a bit of pain since I had just sprained my ankle and wanted to rush back to my Airbnb to take care of it, or I would’ve stayed a bit longer to look around. The nice SA also saw that I was wearing two sweet bracelets and said I had a lot of VCA and thanked me lol. She asked if I wanted to get my pieces cleaned, would take about 5 minutes. So I had them cleaned!

Overall, my experience was great, I got something I had on my wishlist, and will get it lengthened when I get home

Great report! How far in advance did you make the appointment?
