I have never been a saver :nogood: I have that crazy and VERY dangerous buy now/pay later way of thinking. In my own defense, I always seem to be more focused when I have something to pay for as opposed to saving for it, so, I manage to pay off whatever it is I bought. That being said, I really, really, REALLY want a Cartier watch. :graucho: I'm torn between the Roadster and the Tank in SS. It's just so hard to justify a $5,000.00 watch at this point in my life. Who knows, maybe I will feel different tomorrow and just get the darn thing! You only live once, right??!? Right??

RIGHT! LOL!!! No wonder we get along so well :p

I wishhhhh i was like this!!! :( I can not stand buying ANYTHING without paying in cash!! Seriously, it's sad. I think I was the last person on earth to get a credit card lol! I'm 25 and got my first card a couple months ago, and so far haven't had the courage to use it much!! The first month i did use it i called almost every day asking when i can pay it off lol....man am i sad or what lol!!

I want a 5ct 3 prong tennis bracelet from Whiteflash. I'm about 4/5 of the way there. Saving is compounded by the terrible Australian to US dollar right now... but it still works out cheaper than buying one of similar quality here. It's a gamble either way, waiting or just going for it. If only I had've purchased 6 months ago I'd be paying $3,500 less than now...

You're not sad, you're smart!!

not really big ticket...but i have set some $ aside to get myself something at tiffany when we go to nyc in a few months. probably an open heart necklace.

Rhose, I understand you completely, the UK pound is like dust at the moment against other currencies. It is cheaper for me to purchase in the UK than anywhere in the world. I am aiming on getting another rolex and then that is it for me for this year watch wise.
Oh and WF are excellent for diamonds etc.

ugh, its not sad, i wish i could be like u! a much better way to live in terms of debt control :) though to build up a credit rating, u do need to use the card some - even if its small things and u pay it off every month. owning it and not using it doesnt do much for ur credit. i was shocked when my already good credit rating shot up after taking out a hefty mortgage! i guess some debts are good debts....do diamonds and purses count as good debt???:p

as for saving up...i tend to be a buy now pay later type of person as well - preferably on some sort of no interest payment plan. we buy our electronics this way and its always worked out well. there are many things i want, but cant say im currently saving for anything in particular. would love a cartier mens roadster one day and maybe (dont know if i could) an engagement ring upgrade in the not too soon future (i love my ring so much! but would love a bigger rock as well. dont think we'd be able to keep this one and still get a new one....) we shall see...
