My SO loves them.. my promise ring is princess cut! I like it but not as much as cushion or rb... Love how it sparkles though!
And if he got his way.. my e-ring will be princess cut as well!!

Hokaplan - my centre is just over 1 carat ... it sparkles so much that sometimes i think that this new setting might be too blingy but i snap out of that pretty quickly 
Yeah, sorry about the picture quality-the flash didn't work out very well in showing it off! The side stones are trillions (.3 each) and the princess is 1.5 carats. Perfect size for me-I wasn't expecting such a ring as at the time, we didn't have much $$-he blew me away!
What a wonderful, beautiful ring! Plus, my e-ring has the exact same setting! It's 8 years old and I still love this style!

I think it's just about personal taste, as some other ladies here have mentioned. I personally NEVER wanted a princess cut for my center stone I love emerald or cushion, HOWEVER, I ended up getting a princess cut as my center stone and I love it. Before we got married my husband and I went to look at rings and he told me to pick something out that I could live with for awhile since at the time our budget was limited. At the time I really just wanted to get an eternity band and then add a e-ring when we had the money but he really wanted a matching e-ring and wedding band set. We found my setting and it looked best with a princess cut center with consideration to our budget.

I love princess cuts! Mine sparkles like crazy. I always thought I'd get a round brilliant ering, until I tried them on and loved the look of the princess cut on my hand. I know everyone seems to say they are too common, but I rarely see anyone with a princess cut ering. I think all that matters is you love it!

I love princess cuts. This may sound weird but I think they look younger, the rounder cuts look more mature..if that makes any sense! I don't know much about engagement rings, I'm still practically a kid lol.
