There are many beautiful bags from TOD's. And yes, there are a few which ca appear rather schoolmarmish but they will grow on you. I bought a large soft leather Girelli. I thought it was large enough to put everything in and it closed in a unique manner. And if I didn't close it with it's snaps, I being a gay-man may just get away by the skin of my teeth without looking like I raied my mother's wardrobe! When I walked out the door, I began having regrets. But as time has passed, I look at my Girelli and never fail to admire the good stitching, the way the zippers still glide, the lining that keeps its shape and doesn't tear like a Prada bag would have by this time....and most importantly, it's understated and quiet elegance that is exuded by brands like Hermes.

So please......go ahead and get yourself a TOD's. The Marlene and T-One are both quite stunning too. No regrets.

you're so right
i was into prada so much a few years ago..and a LOT of linings have tore! however, i brought those bags to PRada KLCC and they fixed it for me (at a fee of course!) :)

I love Tod's. I think the leather is really nice and subtle. The styles are great too. I wanna get this pochette someday.

i agree! its great and I love this color too...i think they have a bigger version of this too! get it and show us pics!

I like Tod's ! I mean, most of the bags really look rather classical, but think, you can wear them safely in your 20's (saw a young girl yesterday wearing large tote by Tod's, looked fabulous!!), 30's, 40's ......and pass it to your daughter! Plus, I think they are really quality bags and match most of outfits fue to their simple elegance.

If you take your Prada babies for repair in either Paris or Milan, you can get it done there for free! But it takes donkeys-ages. I sent a few bags in for repair of the lining at the Ave. Montaigne store in Paris and it took 4 and a half months for them to come back to me. But they looked alost brand new.

The KLCC staff are not very adept at handling repair requests - which is why I will never buy another Prada bag again unless they resolve their quality issues. They tried to palm off a new Nappa Antic Bag that looked awful on me, all the while cooing, "Oh, it's so you!"...ugh.

Love Tod's!! :graucho:

Just clean designs with wonderful leather that has its own distinctive luxurious smell!

I like the black Nomade shopping tote just a little more since it's made with the pebbled leather. The bag in my Avatar is made of this leather and resist scratches and marks so well. It still looks practically new and smells wonderful after five or six months of use.

I am a big Tod's fan (Hogan for that matter, too). I like both of the bags you posted, though. I think they are completely different bags, though, so what you choose would depend on what you plan on using the bag for. The shopper is a bit more casual, imo.

The LV Epi seems much stiffer than a Tod's bag. My LV goes everywhere - even on wet grass during soccer games. I wouldn't do that with my Tod's bags. The Tod's leather will hold up for years. But the Epi can really take the abuse.
