Current price in Germany also is 6800 EUR for B35 Togo.

Did you get your B as a walk-in or ordered? At which store if I may ask?

And unfortunately, these bags usually are not just available when you walk into a store. I recommend that you take your 35B next time to go to a store, browse around at some of the non-bag merchandise, chat up an SA, and then later casually ask if they have a particular K/B (color, type of leather, hardware, etc). I've talked to a lot of SAs, and every single one of them is put off by people who walk in and whose first words are, "Do you have any Birkins or Kellys?" They even go so far as to learn "no bags" in various languages because they get asked that ALL the time.

If you walk in with your 35B, you may get some street cred. In the US, they likely won't offer you a bag unless/until you spend a threshold amount. If you spend $30k in other merchandise, you should increase your odds that an SA "finds" a bag in the back. If you don't want to spend a lot on other non-bag merchandise, your best bet is to go to Paris. You CAN score a B/K without buying anything else. I know personally from experience.

Flyer: have you seen any Bs/Ks in Germany? If so, may I ask which location(s)? I travel a lot to Germany and will be there again in a few months. TIA.

Unfortunatley Germany is very tough at the moment. The stores even get the podium ordered bags with huge delays atm.

Best bet is Frankfurt.

That was Jan '2012. The 36cm GP used to be $2675 when I bought my first one in Dec 2011. Then they hiked it to $3275 in 2012.

"For 2013, the company is planning a 7~10% hike. Europe and Asia have already seen markups earlier this month and the US will follow in their footsteps soon. How soon? Well, shoppers should expect to see new price tags starting at the end of this month. Not everything will go up in January, though. The increase will be a gradual thing where each category of merchandise will be marked up one at a time until mid-February. Presumably, highly coveted pieces like handbags & scarves will be the first to see the increase."

This is awful news for me as I was planning on stopping by the H store and purchasing some shawls and scarves but the earliest I can get there is the 1st. I plan on calling my SA sometime today or tomorrow to see what she knows and to see what she can do. It would definitely suck if I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more on Friday than I would have for the items on Thursday!

I ended up calling my SA yesterday too with a long wish list of things I'd like before the price increase. She did ask me what my schedule was like, and when I'd be able to stop by the store. When I told her Friday she said that it was "perfect timing". I did not stop her to inquire what she meant about that, but now that I think about it I'm hoping it means the price increases won't hit until next week at the earliest?

Sometimes I do wonder how much intel the SAs actually have on the price increases. Part of me thinks it's most likely that H corporate keeps the dates a secret from everyone.
