Anyone having problems with USPS tracking page updates?

You can call the main postal service number. It is on the USPS website. I called them earlier regarding my package that is supposed to be delivered in NYC, but they were only able to tell me the same information as the tracking and apologize for the delay. Perhaps you will have better luck with them. They told me that there was still a delay, and they were working on it.

I called twice the USPS international office number (via Skype) and they were only able to give me the same information as the tracking online (origin post is preparing shipment). They asked me to open a claim with my postal service, I've already done it and they say the package has been sent to US, but they are investigating further.. :sad:

I've had several packages this past week whose status were not being updated. After a few days of anxious waiting, I did see their online status being updated as "delivered".

Strange, some of these packages did not even show as being dropped off to the post office in the first place..

Call USPS 1st then customs if nothing. My pckg has been stuck there for 3 1/2 weeks. USPS informed me that 25 other large packages were "missing" as well so could be yours too.

There is still a good chance that your package will be found. I would keep communication open with the buyer in the event she does get the package- she can either repay or return to sender. I hope you get your package back.

ETA: what do they mean "missing" to them? Mine was not a big package, a bit bigger than a shoe box.

I was ready to return and write an update!
Finally there was an update yesterday, after October 29th (processed through sort facility - Athens). The update was arrival at unit at the buyer's town. So it never got scanned in NY, or anywhere else when it arrived in US, only when it arrived at buyer's town. Then, a few hours ago I saw the update ''notice left'', I contacted the buyer and she told me that she indeed found a notice and she is going to pick it up from the post office.
Now I have another package sent from November 6th, again with no updates. Hope the situation will be like this.

What about you? Did you have any updates?

I'm glad your tracking was updates.

My package is still lost - no tracking updates/news from the buyer (Ebay refunded her).

USPS's tracking system is fundamentally flawed IMO. I purchased something from Poland a couple of months back and there was 1 scan showing it went from Poland to NYC depot and before I knew it, it was at my door. Between the NYC scan and arrival at my door there was nothing about it clearing customs, being transported to my state, on the truck, out for delivery...nothing! I deal w/ UPS only when shipping within the states.

Been there myself (not for an international package), but it is horribly frustrating and worrisome when you see zero movement in tracking. I'm really happy for you that it all ended well though! :yahoo:

Oh nilla, at least ginaki had a happy ending for her case...did Italy give you any upbeat news? :hugs: I think the NY office is swamped with calls and just can't get back to everyone in a timely manner. :shucks:

Honestly, I'm baffled by how USPS works. Really, how does this happen? The package passes through so many hands, yet you are left w/just one, lonely scan to show for it. I'm glad you received your package in spite of all that, as I'm sure your seller was, too!
