I, personally, never write checks...and only have to whip out the license if I'm buying liquor (which I'm happy to do...since Im' 30 now and flattered that anyone mistakes me for younger!)

the wallet I'm using now doesn't have a clear-ID space either...you get used to it. I honestly whip out my Debit card more than anything.

oh god...i'm really on the fence on getting this wallet...I do not NEED it in any way, shape, or form. And I really shouldn't be spending this kind of money on a wallet...

although...i did use just gift cards on the stuff I got yesterday....

Why have I never thought of doing this? I have a TON of frequent shopper/discount cards and I always cram them into my wallet or in the zipper pocket of my purse. I obviously don't need them every day so why not keep all of them in a skinny and grab the skinny when I'm heading out to shop? DUH!?!

I actually had this same wallet, but in the whiskey leather. I only had it for a couple of days, but I realized right away that it would not work at all for me so I returned it. It got WAY too bulky for my tastes with my credit cards and driver's license in it. The turnlock would catch everytime I tried to close it because the wallet was too bulky with just my few cards in it. And that was even without anything in the change purse part, and nothing in the bill compartment either. I thought it put too much strain on the turnlock.

It may have gotten to the point where the leather would have stretched enough, but at $198, I didn't want to wait for that. I wish it wouldn't have been so bulky, because it's just a darn cute wallet too. But also, I was too worried with the turnlock opening. I'm already super careful with the turnlocks on my shoulder bags (just cause I've heard a lot of cases where they break off), but with the wallet turnlock it would bounce around too much in my purse for my tastes. I'd always worry about it breaking. :sad:

I'm still bummed about returning that wallet, but I just know it wouldn't have worked for me. :s

So did you end up getting it?

I have that same one but in the whiskey leather. I haven't started using it yet, but I already took all my cards I don't need in there and put them in the mini skinny. I also think I'm going to get a change purse the next time I'm at the outlet, so I don't think I'll use the actual change compartment in it.

No...I'm gonna pass on it.

I did, however, get a second chance offer on a Striped Legacy Wristlet...for $58.01 total.

debating on that now...heheh. I ADORE the stripe...but if the fabric is so delicate (like the "scarf print" wristlets of seasons past...) Then I might have to pass on it...

For anyone that does have this wallet - do you use that back pocket for anything? When I had mine, it was just SO tight that I wasn't sure I could use it for anything. I was just wondering if anyone did use that. Thanks!

deweydrop - that wristlet is cute! I actually use the legacy leather wristlet with my legacy bag. It seemed like a good compromise for me. :smile1:

I have the slim envelope style of this wallet and it also has the back pocket on it. Mine is really tight, too, and the only thing I have ever put in it is my debit card when I was in a hurry.

I have two of these wallets and love it! I have the khaki/ebony version and the all white leather version. It closes fine with cards in it. I don't use the change part for change though. I use it for punch cards, coupons, etc. I use a mini-skinny for change.

Oh and I don't use the back pocket for anything.
