I haven't really given the mini a fair chance yet. I've only carried it a few times. I love, love the denim speedy. If I could, I would carry that year round. BUT I was never much of a pochette person, so if anyone loves the pochette, I think you would really love the mini. I got the mini because I loved how it looked on other people. he

I think you should get both

Have you treated it w/ anything like (i.e. -Shining Monkey)? I'm just curious how one would clean it should it get dirty?

I sprayed my vachetta -- that's it. The LV denim is already pre-treated for protection from stains. I would think a damp cloth would take out anything if you did get a spot. It is denim after all and I wouldn't be afraid to clean it.

As far as that shining monkey, I'm a little leery about spraying a fabric protector on an expensive bag -- isn't that stuff from a car care line? Does anyone know the long-term effects of it? I would be afraid of yellowing or other discoloration with time.

I haven't tried it yet. I ordered a can online today. Someone posted what her bag looks like awhile after she sprayed it on and it looks fab. Other posters have said water beads right off the vachetta w/o even leaving marks....? So I guess it must work...right?

Maybe.... I dunno. I like to stick with the products that have been tested and approved for leather. I use Apple products; they have a water repellant for the vachetta called Apple Garde, a leather cleaner, a leather care conditioner. Their products are so gentle and very effective.

Here's a description of the repellant: Special wax-free, silicon-free, formulation will not seal pores, allowing leather to breathe. Leather should breathe. How can you condition it every once in a while if it's totally sealed with a fabric protector?

Here's their website, or you can buy them in certain stores here in the US, like Bed, Bath & Beyond; Burlington Coat Factory.

Cute bag! I love pictures that show what can go in the bag too as that is the most important thing to me that it hold all my stuff! It really does hold a lot more than it looks like it would!
