Anyone have a Oryany bag?

Hi all,

I was in Nordstrom over the weekend and saw the Oryany Gwen bag. I didn't buy it but kept thinking about it once I got home. I ended up ordering it on Sunday, but I'm not really familiar with the brand and can't seem to find much information. Does anyone own one of these bags and if so, what do you think? Here is a picture of the one I ordered.

I have never heard of this brand, but it really looks nice. We'll be waiting for your first impression about it after you receive the order.

OrYANY is starting to show up at Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx. I first came across the brand at Anthropologie and Lord and Taylor (I think), and have several OrYANY bags at one point. They are well-made, some can be pretty heavy, and generally are terrific bags, IMO.

I saw a lady at the UPS store with this purse in orange. There was something about it caught my eye, but she was really tall & could easily carry off the size.

i totally have wanted that bag in dark brown! but thought i might look silly -- that maybe you need to be super tall, skinny and fashion forward to pull it off :) i would LOVE to see one on someone's arm in real life :) they have it in ORANGE too! so cool

I shop for bags/clothes/accessories for friends and steered my close friend towards OrYany because I loved the leather. I stumbled upon the same one Spielberg 1 shared a picture of at Tuesday Morning. It was in stone. I went online and found it for much cheaper. My friend can't get enough of the bag. It was within her price range, is sturdy and is a nice big girl bag.

I just bought this Oryany and am wondering whether to keep it:

I've been on the hunt for a leather crossbody for a while and was looking at more classic designs by Loewe and Furla, but then I found this and surprisingly really liked it. I know I can't expect the quality to be like more expensive leathers, but want it to at least hold up. Should I keep it?

i love LOVE the color!
but is the style practical for you?
it looks small
is it easy to get in and out of?
i think the oryany slouchy hobo is amazing...
but i haven't been crazy about many of their other styles
(although to be fair, i've only seen a few others)
if you are on the fence -- i say return it
you should be in love with a bag to keep it i've decided lately
:)

foxgal, this is the sweetest bag - if you don't carry a lot, it's absolutely terrific. I had this in a number of colors and sold them all because I needed some quick cash. It is such a fun bag, hands-free, and very easy to use, as you've discovered. It helps if you work with the bag in the shape you're used to, because it is asymmetrical, which takes a bit of getting used to, but also allows the bag to hold more than you'd expect!

Thanks - and you are so right. I'm going to return it. It actually has enough room for me and it easy to get in/out of, but all the tassles and hardware just doesn't go with my wardrobe or style (guess I'm more boring than edgy :shame:). I did find a Cats Madrid hobo I LOVE LOVE LOVE but then it is too big for me. Man, being on a bag hunt is hard work!
