Any recommendations for what kind of consultation to get?

I’m not sure if a plastic surgery or perhaps a non-invasive procedure(s) would be better for me? I’ve always been the less attractive friend and I’ve never been pretty since I was young. I’m in my early 20’s now, where most of peers are having fun and many have had a “glow up” since their teenage years (if it didn’t already happen in high school). I’ve tried lots of things over the past few years (makeup, skincare, losing weight, etc.), but nothing seems to work and it has gotten very frustrating. It hurts sometimes to think about it. So I’d really like to change that! I think the next step would be to look into cosmetic procedures, I’m just not sure exactly where to start. I’ve tried to look up who to consult with, but I haven’t really found any answers for people who aren’t sure where to start. Only consultations for those who know exactly what they are looking for (ex. someone who knows they want their nose done and are getting a consultation specifically for that). Does anyone who’s gone through this before have any recommendations on where to start and what to consider? I’m brand new to all of this (: TIA!

It's hard to know where to direct you without knowing what you perceive to be your "problems".
Is it a large or hook nose? Uneven eyes? "Chubby" cheeks? etc..... What are you wishing to improve?

I’m just looking to improve overall attractiveness. This is why I’m a bit unsure who to consult with. Is there a general sort of consultation service for recommending procedures? I’m not sure if certain celebrities and public figures get recommendations on what to get done… they might have image consultants or something of the like to give them recommendations on what to go for in order to look their best? I’m not sure if that’s how any of it works, I’m just looking for that sort of consult if that makes sense!

IMO, you are in your early twenties, and I would not start on too many procedures (temporary) or surgical, at that age. simply bc once you start, you will have decades of upkeep and reinvention. Take some time to figure things out; there are advantages to going slowly. Many cosmetic specialists adhere to certain beauty standards, like the golden ratio (there are lots of different aspects to what constitutes beauty). Most people want clear skin, healthy, well groomed hair, brows, and lashes, and a trim, tones physique. . .which might be a good place to start.

One option, which will do no permanent damage, might be a make up artist who is skilled at illusion and bringing out one’s best features while causing others to recede. And an excellent hair cut and color. And a person to make sure that your brows perfectly frame your eyes. Also, don’t be too quick to go to a specialist. Bc they may focus on their narrow speciality as an easy fix. Keep your options open and don’t do anything too drastic too soon
