Picked up my SO last year, along with two B35s and the SO was NOT substantially different in price at all. Maybe I mis-read your post but I personally will not buy an SO if it is priced 40% higher than a normal B/K.

If they charged 40% more than regular bag, I will sadly tell my SA I won't buy my SO when they arrived. I picked up my SO in Dec and it's the same price as the reg B.

I really don't see what the harm is in saying Alaskan. It's a matter of personal preference really. I picked up the lingo from other members when I joined this forum. And I can't help but notice that I'm the only one who is miffed for using it.

I've witnessed the staff at my store harassed relentlessly and unfortunately sometimes rudely by people asking for bags. Why would I in good conscience add to this? Im not on any way implying that the people in the latest chatter act in such manner. You can still access this forum publicly without being a member. You're more than welcome to pm me directly as many have regarding this matter. Thanks.

Whatev. If you do a search, you are pretty much the only one who uses it. (unless you count the people trying to explain the term to confused members)

Oh my goodness. Please. I learned it on this forum. I don't have the imagination, the time nor the inclination make it up on the my own. Why else would people says it's an "old" term? I definitely wasn't creator.

Ah well I'm mistaken. What I meant was that I see Kelly's every time at the store. And yes they're on the floor. I certainly don't go everyday. I wish I could but I cant.

Yes they're not that popular for whatever reason. Maybe this has changed. People usually wants Birkins.

I would like to protect my store.

Now if everyone doesn't mind, I would like to go back to the original purpose of this thread - which is to discuss the 2015 price increase. If you want to take up further matters with me. You can do so via pm.

Now does anyone know the increase for Chile? I'm trying to help a dear friend acquire her first B or K there. And no I can't just get one at my store and ship it to her as she doesn't trust her postal system. Thanks.

Seriously? Aren't those people employed at that store there to make a living, to feed themselves and their families, pay their bills, etc. How is protecting them from from making a living helping them? :confused1:

HL - clearly you misunderstood lulilu's post.

She was not saying you made up the term. She said that you are the only one who continues to reference the "alaskan" boutique. Why not simply refer to your local boutique as just that?

People can call their stores whatever they want if they feel they want to protect their identity. Why is this a big deal? And it's really unkind to pile on to a member. Please take it to PM if you have a legitimate issue with someone.

It also had nothing to do with the thread. So please - back to the topic of 2015 pricing. Thanks.

Mistikat - I was not piling on nor do I care what she calls her boutique. I was simply clarifying a post by another member that was misinterpreted.

Mistikat, I agree this is off topic. But calling a local store Alaskan store does confuse members as we have seen many times already. It seems unfair to newer members who are here for accurate information. JMHO. Now back to topic. Promise!

Yes, it used to be used a lot more back in the day, but people can call their store Fred or My Mystery Store - what difference does it make?? No one is obliged to say where they shop or what they buy and I can't fault them for that.

If someone is confused they can ask, or PM the member using it.

And if anyone still has questions about the use of Alaska, Fred, My Mystery Store, FSH or what it stands for (which also comes up a ton but we don't tell people not to use it) feel free to PM me or any of the other mods, or the person using the term.

Thanks.

Totally agree, xiangxiang.

Plus, TPF members that are looking for accurate information here can be easily mislead by some of the posts. Ks that are sitting on the shelf at an H store all the time? Russians aren't feeling a pinch by the price of oil and the free fall of their currency? My bad, but I think the intention here is to provide accurate information to our members about the H price increase and when there is dubious information posted, correct it otherwise this thread loses all validity.

Now, gladly back to topic.

Every time someone says, "ok just this one and now back to topic" ... you are going off topic. None of this has anything to do with 2015 pricing.

Yes, accurate information is appreciated. Saying a bag costs $10,000 when it costs $8,000 is misleading. Saying you shop at your Alaskan store is immaterial - and no one is obliged to say where they shop. Chiding a member for using a term you don't like or wouldn't use is unnecessary at best.

Further commentary on this will be deleted. If you have any additional questions, PM me.

Thanks.

Just wondering does anyone have any hint from their SA on how much the price increase will be for rodeo charm??

Can you actually FIND a Rodeo charm?!?!?! LOL

Anyone heard about the % on fine jewelry? I vote for a DECREASE on the silver items since silver is currently less than $18/oz and H silver is far more expensive than even higher end jewelers like T&Co, D.Y., etc!!! :D;)
