Awww, Chanel, that is too bad! Let's see if the CSGMs have a price increase or if the price remains steady here in the USA. I think we are all prepared for a big price increase for Ks, darn!

I have a feeling that the price for the GMs in the USA remains steady, Vigee.


Hi VigeeLeBrun and Chanel, did your SA's told you that there will be no price increase for the CSGM? I'm thinking to buy 1 or 2 before the price increase. But if there will be no price increase then I will wait and not rush myself to H store.

doves, my SA only said that the price increase for scarves will be on February 10th and she didn't go in to further detail. I am assuming that we will be hit with a GM price increase in the USA but cannot confirm this, sorry. I don't know whether to buy or wait! There are GMs coming in that will not be in the store before February 10th, so I am stuck anyway. Let me know if you hear anything.

I can't imagine that the US increase will be higher than Europe, and should be less, since H is already getting more US revenue due to the exchange rate.

I'm looking to get my wife a Birkin or Kelly bag as a surprise 40th birthday gift and also as a celebration for our 10th anniversary. I wanted to get an idea on pricing on these bags and the process of purchasing one. Looking at a black clemence or togo leather 35cm, in palladium hardware. From the little research I've done so far, it seems like that's a pretty desirable combination. Am I mistaken? Is there another combination that you can suggest?


Is this something that I can go in and buy it at the store or do I have to special order?


I'm sorry if these questions seem basic, I'm just a guy with no clues on purses and trying to make a wife happy. =)

i think you r right. she mentioned something about the 28th but i had my kicking and screaming toddler daughter with me that my memory and attention span was short.. hopefully u can find it before the price increase..

you r such a good husband. i wish my hubby will do the same thing for me in the future..

if u r in US, we don't know the % of the price increase til the 28th.. kelly and birkin are not something u can just walk into the store and buy.. black combo usually is hard to get as a lot of ppl want the same combo.. if u find one, get it.. same things goes for the leather.. unless you have a long purchase history with hermes then they mite do special order for u but usually it takes yrs to get it..

My SA told me on Monday that the price increase on leather (i.e., bags) is on Jan. 28 and Feb. 10 for silks, so pretty much confirming what others have been hearing as well.
