Any Bvlgari / Bulgari wearers out there?

Uh oh. After years of lusting after this bracelet from afar, I finally had the chance to try on the Serpenti bracelet today at the airport in both the demi pave and full pave, medium size.

They only had rose gold in both versions but if I ever got one it would be yellow gold. Sigh. The demi pave has just shot to the top of my jewellery wish list!

You will love the yellow-gold demi pave. It is easier to get them in the state than over sea from what I heard. I have both yellow and rose gold and they both dazzling. I do not regret buying them at all.

Beautiful collection. Can I recommend the full pave serpenti pendant necklace? I have the demi pave serpenti choker and the demi pave pendant necklace, and they both are very pretty in their own right. The pendant is much more daily-friendly than the choker in my opinion.

That is 20% price differences. Nuts!!! The Serpenti used to be considered as good value vs the small Pave love but now, not anymore. I wonder where LVMH is positioning Bvlgari in the market because with the new price, the sm love pave is more attractive.

While I know my jewelry will hold value well, I also realized that my disposable income is getting me less with all these price increases. Kinda stings a bit.

Eh, I actually don’t think the small pave love is very good value at all. 0.95 carats compared to >2.8 carats. Also, the closure on the thin pave love is very unsecured. The Bulgari serpenti uses larger diamonds, has greater total carat weight, feels more substantial, and won’t accidentally fall off a wrist.

Even compared to the full pave love, which has 2.0 tcw, the serpenti still feels like the better buy with its more intricate construction. But at least the regular pave love has a built-in safety mechanism and looks more classically proportioned.

I would say the prices for Bulgari have been historically undervalued. Similar to some of Tiffany’s offerings. I think these recent price increases under LVMH were expected if not inevitable.
