Any Birkin 25 regrets?

If you want it because it's the trendy size, then I'd say no, especially as you'd have to lose two cherished bags to make it happen. If you feel the size would be perfect for you and it's a bag you'd use a lot, then do it.

Weigh up the likelihood of ever replacing the two bags you'd have to lose to get a 25, this might be a difficult task and you can't replace sentimental value. If this is something you'd have no regrets doing and the 25 is the size for you, then do it.

Also if you decided the 25 wasn't right, you shouldn't have any trouble selling it for the foreseeable future.

Just a few points to ponder.

I’ll be the slight contrarian. My wife finds her b25 to be too small. If she is going to be heading out with very few things, she will usually wear a crossbody. When she wants to use a tote, she uses them as totes. The handles on the b25 are small so if you try to stuff something in, the bag becomes difficult to carry. Her B30 and 35s get much more use, but she does love her 25 as it’s so unique (shadow).

I'm curious for all of you who have 25's and love them, how tall are you? I'm small-framed but 5'9. Originally I thought only a B35 suited me and when I first tried on a B30 I thought it looked tiny, but now I love that size and think a B35 is just overwhelming (unless I intend to look like I'm carrying a work tote). I've always thought a B25 would look ridiculously small, but now y'all have me wondering if I should try one.....hmmmm.....

I'm 6 feet tall and don't have a 25 (yet). However, I found that in terms of practicality sizes like 30 and 35 are best, but as others pointed out it also comes down to preference, what you carry and so on... Personally I'm going for a 25 because I want a Birkin that holds my essentials yet is not overwhelming and small enough to be a dinner bag, after work drinks kinda bag and also as away to intruduce color to my relatively neutral handbag "collection".

Added: Even though I'm on the taller side, I do not factory height into my decision making as my height has nothing to do with my needs and I'll put my needs before "proportions".

I'm also 6 feet tall and carry a B25. It's a great size, fits more than you'd expect. I've fit a full size wallet, iphone, 1-2 small pouches of stuff, a small folding umbrella (yes), keys, and a smattering of other things all at once without things overflowing. It's not as small as you'd think just because it's the smallest "regular production" Birkin.

I’m going to be the outlier here and say I regret the size and actually even the style. The bag is very well known now and given the tiny handles it’s pretty insecure. I personally don’t feel comfortable carrying it out and about. The design is ok and the 25 is cute but I’m also finding that it’s just too much hardware and fussiness for me. I don’t think a bigger size changes my views much especially since I hardly carry anything when I’m out. I think you will need to take the plunge in order to really ascertain whether the bag is for you though I would not sell any bags that you use to do it. You will always wonder what if. If you are patient enough I think the resale market will come down some later this year given world events. I think size suitability depends. I’ve said before it’s not a good look when someone is carrying a b25 and there’s a stranglehold on their wrists.

I'm in the same predicament. I'm really curious to try a 25. I'm 170cm tall (~5 ft 6).

When I think of the size of my bolide 25, I can't comprehend how a birkin 25 wouldn't be minuscule. The thing that puzzles me is that when I look at photos of people here with a birkin 25, it doesn't look that small.
For some reason it looks a lot bigger in pics lol but it’s really a great size and unless you’re super tiny or super big in some way I don’t really buy into height and weight for a bag. Just get what you love and what fits your lifestyle — love my b25. I wear it every day, all day, lol it’s a week old 😂

The handles on the b25 are small and I find my wrist getting stuck in it.

If you’re in a city it’ll be a lil harder to wear / use than if you’re in suburbia/car.

That said, I’m in love and learning to balance life holding a bag in my hand rather than slinging it on my forearm.

For Bs, I have a b25, b30 sellier and b35 and I love em all for all their diff reasons. They’re all gorgeous and unique and serve their purposes. If you’re lusting after a particular B25 and don’t wanna play the game and can afford it, I say go for it. Some places like rebag and fashionphile even have return policies so you can play for a day or two at home with the item.

I'm also 6 feet tall and carry a B25. It's a great size, fits more than you'd expect. I've fit a full size wallet, iphone, 1-2 small pouches of stuff, a small folding umbrella (yes), keys, and a smattering of other things all at once without things overflowing. I remember some of your action pics, maybe one with a Tiffany bracelet or necklace wrapped around your wrist by a doorway or elevator? You looked amazing with it on.

That said, I don’t think it’s necessarily that one hs to be tiny to carry it. (I’m short but medium build). Rather, if you cannot easily get it over your wrist or forearm, it’s essential that you feel comfortable carrying (what for me is an) open tote in your hand. For where I live and how I use it (a day bag that I can just chuck things in and go) it’s great. If you want more security, a calvi or card case can be tucked in the inside back zippered pocket. Not for everyone, but i like mine. But, I don’t feel the urge to collect multiples of the BK25 like I did for the B30 or even the K 28.

Do you no longer like the bags you would sell? Do you think you won't regret them? Then you are right to sell them and buy a model that might be more comfortable for you. The birkin 25 is very nice. For my height, I prefer it in the evening or in the summer when I don't have a coat, since the handles are really small. As for resale prices-I understand but they are crazy for me!

I think there is definitely room for both 25 and 30 in one's rotation. I recently saw a 25 up close and whilst it is much smaller than a 30 by comparison, I definitely see myself getting lots of use out of one. Hope to get one some day.

It's more than worth paying the resale price for the exact B25 you want. It's certainly worth trading in 7 or 8 bags you don't love nor use.

You KNOW you will covet, admire and use your dream B25 and get your money's worth from it. I have done this exact same trade by selling my Lady Dior, Goyard Vendome, Hermes Jypsiere and LV Galleira. Truth is, once I started buying BKC... I didn't wear or even think about those other bags.

Good luck!
