Any Birkin 25 regrets?

Hi Everyone,

Long time lurker here so going straight to the point. Anyone have any regrets buying a Birkin25 especially at the Resale price? I feel I need to scratch that itch. Is it worth selling like say 5 -8x premium bags to get that elusive B25?

This time I don't want to go through the Store route as I've not been a client for a few years and I specifically want the bag in a certain colour.

The most used bags in my Hermes collection are my 2x bolides27 then the Pico and the Kelly 28 and 25,

My B35 and 30 haven't seen much light of day as I think they are too big for my style but I'm quite hesitant to sell them as they have sentimental value to me. But then I'm thinking it would make sense for me to let them go for a B25 which I think I would make financial sense.

I know there are worse problems than this but I just need some advice as I keep going round in circles over this.

Anyone out there who sold a bunch of lovely bags to get their Birkin? Any regrets?

Thank you x

I can tell you I use my b25 every day. For me it’s the perfect size, easy, every day tote. I wondered if the handheld thing would bug me but it hasn’t really. I’m good at holding the bag and a cup of coffee in the same hand. I don’t know. I love mine.

I didn’t have anything to sell and bought from the store so I can’t exactly help you with your decision. I can say that if you have bags lying around that aren’t right for your lifestyle what is the point???? Get what you’ll use!

I have two B30s and one 25, all of which were purchased through Hermes boutiques. I think this really depends on what you want to use this bag for? I think a 25 is a good size if you don’t carry a lot and are ok with hand carry. The handles can be too small to hook onto your forearm. Personally, I wouldn’t pay the high resale prices for a 25. If you haven’t used your 30 in a while, what makes you think the 25 will be more useful? Maybe it’s worth thinking about times you needed/wanted a 25 and didn’t have. Good luck deciding :)

I’ve have mine since 2018 and love it. I had a 35 and 30 and the 25 is the best. I would only buy a 25.

I would buy at resale price (I just bought a K25 at resale price) I want my bag now in the color and leather I want. I buy from a trusted seller.

Life is short and my time trying to buy from store just isn’t worth it. Im not waiting a year or more to get the bag I want. My closest store is Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive it’s a very competitive Store. Buy now and enjoy it. TMO

I'm curious for all of you who have 25's and love them, how tall are you? I'm small-framed but 5'9. Originally I thought only a B35 suited me and when I first tried on a B30 I thought it looked tiny, but now I love that size and think a B35 is just overwhelming (unless I intend to look like I'm carrying a work tote). I've always thought a B25 would look ridiculously small, but now y'all have me wondering if I should try one.....hmmmm.....

A year ago I said it was a "no go" for me to hand carry only and that I would only buy a B30. I still love my B30's, but I decided to ask for a B25 as I carry so little. I've had her for about 4 months and I love the size. Having to hand carry is actually fine in reality for me. I guess, "never say never" as I'm very happy with the size and would get another. I however, wouldn't part with the B30 as I think it truly is a classic size unless I absolutely had to.
