Hi there, has anybody got a Vere Barrel - how's your experience with how agile the leather is? I like the structure but at the same time worried that it scratches a lot if the leather is stiff. Ta!

I recently bought the smiley eBury. It’s lighter than other bags at that size but wouldn’t walk around the whole day with it. Probably on a shopping stroll where you put it down throughout the day will be okay, but not for long walks

I agree. I'm also very sad to see it.

At the end of the day, I guess they know what they're selling (most of) and, at the moment, it's an over-saturated market and it's a case of survival.

Perhaps, those highly skilled craftspeople left or proved too expensive and they've moved manufacture :shrugs:

Personally, I would never let go of the high-end, even if just for bespoke and MTO. It's responding to market forces without thinking about reputation and longterm consequences.

Looks rather like Goyard but at a cheaper price point. Really hope to see some feedback before decide cos afterall it is still not cheap for a canvas tote.

Hi, bit late but I own it and I actually never realized how handy it actually was for the rain after being caught in the rain with it...the name made sense after that. Back then I just bought it bc I have a thing for transparent bags :)
