Hello ladies recently I have purchased a fudge heritage bayswater, my first mulberry :)
The bag is beautiful and I'm officially in love <3
But, as it's the larger style it's much more suited to when I have days out shopping etc,
My birthday is coming up and my oh will be wondering what I would like, I've had my eye on an Antony for a while now,for days when I want to pack light, just wondered how all the Antony owners feel about there's? Is it worth getting as they are very compact, what can you fit in there?
Tia ! X

I've been wondering the same. My sister stayed recently and we walked a fair bit, lugging a bag about was a pain and I wondered if a cross body bag would be a handy addition!! :D (Especially as the outlets have them for £199 at the mo) :graucho:

I know I'm seriously considering the outlet Antony's they are a fab price, I adore my heritage bays and it has a cross body strap too but it's really big and not ideal if I'm just popping out to the shop etc but I cannot carry a standard high street branded bag now after experiencing a mulberry hanging off my arm!! Lol 199 is a great guilt free price is it just the graphite they have I. Stock? Xx

I have small Anthony and I can fit in mine: wallet, keys, small pouch, phone and very small umbrella. That is little to compared to what I normally carry but sometimes it's enought. Specially when I don't want to have much stuff with me.

I love my small Antony ( Khaki Outlet) it is probably my most used bag. I fit in everything I need & still have room for more. It also surprises me when I take everything out & put it into another bag it takes up so much room & does not seem as organised. It is great for days out, supermarket shopping, school run & dog walking etc, etc. It is not very exciting but it is the most practical robust bag I have, I always keep it on hand ready to grab & go.

I love my Anthony and would never get rid of it, but don't actually use it very much!

I used to get quite irritated by it until I found a plastic tube thing (it's half of a sunglasses case) that I use inside it to hold my comb, lipstick, pen and other items of makeup that are long and thin. It means that all these bits are accessible and don't get lost at the bottom of the bag - much better. The bag also holds my purse, keys and asthma inhaler and a small umbrella that gets stuffed in at the bottom.

Oh and I put my iPhone in the pocket - it pushes the leather out of shape a bit, but not significantly.

This doesn't seem like a very enthusiastic review, does it? To start again more positively - my khaki Ant is a bombproof and waterproof little bag that holds the basics and smartens up a casual outfit - it's also probably the lightest of my Mulberries and so is a great bag for a hands-free day out. There, that sounds better!

It's great to hear that it is light as well :D

I know exactly what you mean about once you carry a Mulberry (or any designer bag)! I was a fan of a particular high street brand and have some gorgeous bags by them but since getting into Mulberry, they have been neglected. I've become a bag snob! :faint:

Plemont has got it spot on.
I have two Anthony's one small one in oak and the other in burgundy large with silver hardware. The larger one you can fit a lot more in.
I love the look of the oak as it is such a smart/classic look and will use it a bit more than i do now.

I started with an Antony for Christmas a couple of years ago. I loved it and as i don't carry much with me it was/is perfect. I don't use it as much as i did because I have got used to carrying bigger bags, but it is great for long days out or holidays. The only slight grudge I have is that the big buckle sits against my collar bone and it can get a bit painful after a while. This is really only a problem in summer, in winter with the padding of a coat it is much less noticable. I would get another, in fact I am quite tempted to get the larger one if I can ever find a grey one.

I had a small ink Ant and used it quite a lot for about two weeks (story of most of my bags) and could fit in all the basics which was fine. I recently got a large mustard Ant - MUCH better, can fit loads more in, the Ipad is good in there and it's much better for my needs.

I have owned a couple of ants and also interestingly found them quite uncomfortable on the neck like stopmenow has mentioned, i ended up letting both go go for this exact reason I found I could only wear them as a shoulder bag. I always look specifically for messenger style bags and now use a mini alexa for the same uses as I would of used an Antony.

I've had my oak Antony for quite a number of years and find it really useful for days when I don't need a big heavy bag or fancy handbag or need something hands free that I wont worry about. Yes it doesn't hold masses but it carries the essentials. I would definitely have another and I have thought in the past about trying the larger size. Tho I must agree with what the other ladies have said about the buckle digging in depending on what I'm wearing or how it's positioned.
