I still can remember back in the 70's when Little Saigon first began all their building over in that area. It literally exploded in just a few years.
I do have an odd question....back when I lived there I never ventured into any of the shops in that area...I was told that they did not like caucasions entering their stores, so I stayed away. Is this still true to a point? I would love to go and check it out. :shame:
oh no it's totally fine!! i actually see a lot of mixed people shopping around Lil Saigon now, now that it's become more of a tourist attraction/hot spot in recent years.
Especially after the Bolsa Ave remodel/re-lane changes. $3B went into renovating the street adding palm trees and brick walkways and new lampposts and all that to make it appealing to tourists and the masses, so it's totally welcome now! go shop and have fuN!
