OP - You have been extremely gracious. If you want to wear the earring, wear it proudly, you'll have a good story to tell if anyone notices it. Don't let her taint your enjoyment of it. If you do want to return it, please tell the whole story to Broken English - they should refund every penny to you, including taxes. She implicated them in her rants, and if they have any issues with the return they should take it up with her.
Unless Anita Ko was alive in the 1930's, she didn't invent the ear cuff. She's batsh!t crazy! I will not be buying any of her pieces... ever. Jennifer Meyer's pieces are so much more beautiful and well-made anyway.

I just want to add... the shark tooth Givenchy necklaces are beautiful. I can't believe Anita Ko will be knocking off those next. She's such a phony!
If Anita Ko plans to release a similar version of shark tooth desgin, she might be in serious copy right infringement from Givenchy. As far as I remember shark tooth design has always started with Givenchy
But either way.. Personally she should hold off any celebration of her next design inspiration and spent sometime to hire a PR team

+1! Wow! I just finished reading this thread. I am truly floored by her behavior. I LOVE jewelry and mix and match designers all of the time, both high end and low end. I, too, was admiring the leaf ring and considered purchasing one.....now, HELL NO!! I will NEVER purchase anything from her and will spread the word. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting.
i am so disappointed to hear this! i have several of her pieces...including her leaf ring, cougar ring, cougar bracelet, and spike bracelet...i can't believe that a professional would write such comments...so immature to say the least!
by the way has she ever seen the cartier cougar ring? one could say that her cougar ring is a similar "knock off" to the cartier one!!
some of her stuff is insanely overpriced for what it is...it's not like she invented the ear cuff either! makes sense to save on stuff that is mass produced and trendy and save money for the interesting jewelry pieces that are unique!

Never heard of that name and after reading this thread, I will definitely never purchase anything from her brand in my life.
If someone wears the Cartier cougar ring with another Anita Ko piece she will probably get mad too, because appearantly in her eyes it is a crime to mix and match. Any other brands worn together with her "designs" are considered "knock off" by her.
Just finished reading this thread. Now I'm simply amused.... that woman seriously needs to hire a PR team, or at least hire anyone with functioning mind to do the thinking for her.
OP you are such a nice person. Don't be sad or in any way affected by this unfortunate incident. If you like the earring, keep wearing it, and everytime people comment on it you can just tell them this ridiculous story as a joke
