quick question for incoralblue and for anyone who has the oval clutch (just got it in mail today so EXCITED will post photos soon), what does the oval clutch come with? i ordered mine from NM and it didnt come with a dust bag, no controllato card or any kind of paperwork, not even extra tasseles!

It only came with 2 mirrors: a small mirror AND the normal size mirror that comes with the city bags- it has the small pocket on the other side.

i kind of feel like they gave me the extra mirror bc they felt bad they didnt include the extra tasseles or the paperwork, not sure what to think...thoughts? :confused1:

Obcessd...

your OVAL should include...

-One mirror (smaller...baby version of the regular size mirrors we are all so used to)
-At least, 1 tassel (I think they only provide one but I'm not 100% sure)
-All controllato cards


Neiman Marcus SAs are notorious for doing things like that. One time I ordered a Blueberry Work and have it shipped to the store, when I came to pick it up, my SA put in extra Marine tassels since the Blueberry tassels were missing....but he also included the Season tag, so I knew it was Marine...I guess not realizing that I'd notice.

So anyway, you're not missing anything big (unless you really want/need the Authenticity cards...w/c could come in handy in the future).

thanks incoralblue! thought it would be easier to revive this thread bc its so informative instead of just starting a new one ;)

im sad i dont have the paperwork at least, but the clutch is way too hot to return! i dont think i will be giving this baby away. will post photos this weekend!! :yahoo:

Yes, i agree that the oval clutches are getting so HOT lately....i can't wait to receive mine in black which i've been searching high and low for it....finally, i managed to get her....WOW

Which colors was the oval available in, I mean all the colors it has ever been made in? and which season did ot first come out?

Caroule, your knit sweater/bolero is so cute and love your clutch. I have been missing incoralblue for quite some time now and I thought this was his new post (only to disappointed that it was dated May.) Incoral, where are you? I miss your informative posts.

I miss incoral, too! His threads are always the best! I think his glorious presentation of the Oval made so many of us scoop up all the remaining Ovals from Bal and the department stores! ;)
The oval was only made for two seasons, spring and fall 2006. I have seen it in many colors, including white, black, ink, lilac, greige, cognac, emerald (I have one!), cornflower and rouille.
I'd love to own one in rouge vif, but alas, I've never seen one of those!

Ahh I'll thank you once again incoralblue for all the photo's and info!! I too am one of the many who still want this clutch!! I know this thread is a teeeny bit old but do any of you think I/we'd have any luck finding one of these babies nowadays? Besides ebay, of course. Thank you in advance!:)

there was still one in printemps (paris) in dec. I just bought the last one from bal paris 2 days ago! it is now in transit with DHL. cant hardly wait to see it!

Please help, I'm watching a makeup clutch but I am hesitant on buying because I am unsure of the real life size. Can someone post a pic of one of those beauties next to them, or a coke can, or a Louis Vuitton pochette? Please nothing next to a B-Bag, I am a Louis girl and own no B-Bags (Yet!). Also what is a good price to pay for one in new conditon? Is 500 too much?
